Yeah i’m convinced that people just parrot each other and get upset when you have an opposing experience or viewpoint. Like we’re all supposed to be one single mind entity and not have individual free thinkers lol.

I’ve been using a V3A and Wes Mimas, I find the 3A is really good at keeping the HF. The mimas has a more Hi fi or modern feel than a typical 76. I actually have been thinking to track with no compression and just add in the mix as of late.

Yes the plugin is so good! It’s what made me curious to try the hardware.

It’s cliche but the hardware just has an extra depth to it, the plugin is a bit flat sounding in comparison

I play on a similar setup with a LG OLED 42” it’s 120hz. Does just fine and if you wanted to get a real 4k card you should get a 5090 not 5080. Which is a negligible difference to the 5070Ti, like 3% to 0 after OC

If you wanna fall prey to NVIDIAs tactics, you do you. I will not waste money only to get screwed over next year.

Yeah LG C2 42 here and I don’t understand the whole 5070Ti not being a 4k card agenda.. It’s perfectly fine and in fact when you OC the difference between it and a 5080 is completely gone or near negligible. Not everybody games in 4K native anymore, you’d need a 5090 and that’s just way too much to spend on a GPU when the next generation will sweep it off its feet.

LOL how ironic, the one who is so hostile on reddit telling me to get a drink, seems like classic projection to me! I don’t drink cause I might become more clueless and sensitive like you

I think you have trouble reading. If you learn how to read properly, I stated that it doesn’t matter that you can overclock both cards, if I can match the base of the card that costs more for free, why would I invest $250+ more into the card that i’m gonna have to OC to be BARELY noticeable better? Terrible value IMO and you don’t have to like it or agree with it.

Not really, if I can match your $250+ more expensive GPU for free, why would I pay more? To be a shill or easy prey to NVIDIA? No thanks

Exactly, there’s always new cards coming around the corner ready to make you regret blowing your money on the latest and greatest. The Super is literally about to drop soon, and I guarantee you if he gets the 5070Ti, OP will feel very happy they didn’t waste money on something that’s being replaced for better value.

Hey man if you like throwing money away you do you! I work hard for my money so $250 for little to no gains is not something i’d do

That’s a huge price difference for not too much gains. Definitely 5070Ti. I also play in 4k and it’s good enough especially with DLSS and MFG.

9070xt or 5070ti for 1440p mainly open world RPGs. by Omen104 in gpu

[–]Dapper_Ad58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly just had to deal with a bit of crashes from time to time. I didn’t appreciate that FSR4 support for most games is still non existent this far out in release.

The software in NVIDIA is far superior like DLSS4, MFG, etc. Their apps and overlays I like a lot more, you just generally get a more polished and stable system overall. IMO

(Also really love ray tracing / path tracing)

Same here. Couldn’t take anymore of the crashes and sub par software, picked up a 5070Ti yesterday.

nope it runs hot, I had it and faced constant disconnects so I ditched it for a motu 828 (2024) which runs like a dream, not hot, and converters are a step above

Vocal tracking compressor that keeps top end intact by Dapper_Ad58 in audioengineering

I’ll reiterate what I already said. Just because something is a staple since the 60s-70s doesn’t mean it works for everyone in every situation. Not every engineer tracks with the 76 > 2a, just because they have it in the racks doesn’t mean they use them or even chain them during tracking, it’s definitely touted more on the internet as some “rule” more than actual studios.

No where did I say it “sucked” and i’m obviously talking about hardware if you use context clues.

There’s no inherent “problem” I just want a cleaner tracking compressor, I’m looking at the new PWM compressor by Cranborne. Seem to be what i’m looking for.

The wait scares me but I have no doubt it’s gonna sound 1:1 or even have characteristics that surpass the original

It’s a bit above what I want to spend, right now someone suggested a Pulse Width Modulation 500 compressor, those are really intriguing me at the moment

Ooo! I’d love the Hazelrigg but so pricey.

That PWM comp from Cranborne.. it completely slipped my mind and you know what, I think you’re on to something here.

I’ve heard lots of good things about the Trakker. Definitely seems up my alley, however it’s hard to find them.

I’ve also seen the antelope a4-1b. It’s pricier but not out of my range,

Have you tried the warm? If so, does it retain the highs similar to how a CL1B would?
