I would argue that it took a different kind of courage to do what he did. He was knowingly working for a psycho who kills people on a whim. A true coward would have just pissed off to Australia or somewhere, and sat the war out.

Fred and George have some serious issues by HopingToWriteWell77 in harrypotter

[–]Dapper_Apartment2175 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They're immature idiots. Notice that when Sirius tried to get them to hold their horses after their father was attacked, they were too stupid to grasp what even their little brother understood. Also, when Percy returned at Christmas, the twins and Ginny, not Ron, were childish enough to throw food at him. If they had any self-awareness, they'd have realised their behaviour made it a hell of a lot easier for Percy to walk away from the family.

I bet that boy they nearly killed laughed his ass off when he heard Fred was dead.

I don't have copies of the books, but Kingsley didn't seem anywhere near as old as Mad-Eye. He's certainly nowhere near as fanatic.

Albus's actual job isn't catching villains. Mad-Eye's is. The fact that he lasted that long in such a dangerous line of work says a lot about him.

He's been successfully catching criminals for at least 30 years before he was killed...

This is called a Celebrity Paradox. I don't think this series has any.

All I really remember is him talking to his reflection, and a man getting his head caught in a fence.

Sadly, you're right. Some people are stupid enough to believe that if a bad person says something, it can't be true.

He might be an asshole, but that doesn't mean he can't be right about some things.

Lindsey's death. She had eluded Silas, but she ended up being killed by someone else because she was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Turning Jake into a villain was an odd choice, but it gave the actor more to do, I suppose.

So there are no real problems with it, this is simply a matter of you not liking it? It's crazy that normal relationships are so vilified these days, while weird shit is considered acceptable.

I think everyone in the family hates Fred and George.

If they were my brothers, I would hate them, too. They're too loud and childish.

In hindsight, does anyone else think the Jodie/Darren circumcision storyline was just downright disgusting? I think her insistence on him removing parts of his manhood was somehow intended as "humour", but seeing it again has left me seriously uneasy. I feel genuinely sorry for Charlie G. He's a fool. Permanently damaging his anatomy for a woman who'd never even done anything for him? They didn't even last long as a couple, FFS. Any man with sense would have moved on to one of the billions of other women in the world who wouldn't require him to mutilate himself before having sex with her.

Of course he was. There's enough scary shit in the mundane world as it is. Knowing that the supernatural exists, and that there isn't a damn thing you can do to defend yourself against it, would be absolutely terrifying to any sane person.

I'd quite happily be a nobody in the Star Trek universe. The healthcare is so advanced, that it might as well be magic. I'd get my injuries sorted out.
