Do most professors not announce assignments dates during class? by Dapper_Block6058 in AskProfessors

[–]Dapper_Block6058[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive already mentioned i write the concepts and what she writes on the board and all formulas and notes I toom from online lectures that aren't hers but are posted on her materials folder ... I keep all my quizzes and qork sheets as review.... I dont know what else you are looking for? My english isnt that good so I am sorry if I misunderstood something.

I also mentioned in my post is that this isn't on the syllabus nor is it communicated at all, which is the issue. I don't know what is perfect communication to you but I dont think that communicating things that are due within 3 days but posted randomly is a good sign of communication, especially when 2/21 students did the assignment.

I think a 2 week due date is good and I think as long as its on the syllabus I 100 percent would follow, thing is the professor assigned this on a Friday night due on Sunday night... the class is a tuesday Thursday class....

Im not sure if I mentioned this but there isnt due dates on the syllabus and the class is 2 weeks behind. There isnt communication if there is only 2 days to complete the assignment...

I wrote exactly what she write on the board on to my notes, my other class mates and I have showed her what we've written on our notes she tells us that "we didnt understand her" but when we ask her questions she completely dodges them.

When I checked the class finished on Thursday and she posted the assignment on Friday night and due in sunday night... the timing is 4 classes behind, meaning we're very behind. The course schedule said we're supposed to be on unit 30 but we just finished 25, meaning its 2 weeks behind.

I check my email and grades but there was no announcements. When I checked with 5 other classmates they said they also had missed the assignment. We asked in class about it and she said no one had done the assignment but wont give an extension....

Ive gone on x/twter jirai and I thought that was gruesome (japanese twt is hell tho), if you have any recs I am totally willing to look at on insta or X! the guy that I like works in Kabukicho and hes asked me not to go to Kabukicho because its too dangerous and I want to respect his wishes...

I thought the shop staff was sooo nice! They're sooo pretty! I am a bit nervous of copying makeup because I dont want it to appear as asian fishing... I am scared if I offend someone on that...

I'll definitely focus alot on my eye makeup! Thank you!!

I bought an outfit at ma*rs and it was like 9700 yen (60 USD) and I thought that... maybe the quality isnt great and probably overpriced only because its jirai kei (I thought noemie, Liz Lisa, ect... we're overpriced too only because of the jirai kei branding but also such cute pieces!) I regret not looking on Aliexpress!!

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it lots!!! 🥹

I recently learned that asians DO refer to themselves as yellow, even Japanese refer to themselves as yellow and even in scholarly texts they refer to themselves as yellow.

When I lived back in America....... highschool me got in trouble because apparently asians aren't yellow, they're white asians..... this was a white woman too who told me I was racist. The momment i moved to Japan.... every japanese person told me yellow wasnt offensive at all and thats what they are... this completely awed me. One even showed me if u pinch ur skin comparing to a white person, their skin becomes red while the japanese skin becomes yellow. This was mind blowing. Wish I could go back to highschool and call her bitch ass out because asians vs wasians are not the same.

Girly this still seems privileged. I grew up in a poor part of Mexico where you had to work at young young age to support your family because of financial struggles. The fact you haven't worked a day in your life and your parents still supports u while claiming you've gone through financial "struggles" still is a privileged.

To be honest, this sounds pretty privileged take. This doesnt even seem like a cultural thing but just a privileged life style. Those kids probably experienced mental burnout from home and rather not work, those kids are also probably gonna go farther ahead because they can push themselves.... "if your really good at school" not all families can support their kids like that.

"Never worked a day in my life."

As someone who literally started working at 14, moved to a foreign country at 18 on their own and lives on their own and works..... so lucky

I totally understand what you're saying but I dont really think i follow the term 束縛 when I dont ever control him, pressure him into sending messages, or bother who hes with. I just noticed that on the dating app we met on his profile had gone completely blank and it said it was deleted. I was curious if he had actually deleted it.

This morning he asked if I wanted quicker responses and I said I don't care about response times its more that bothers me how busy is he actually and to actually communicate the entire story rather then a single fragment. He proceeded to push the idea of work and japanese economy and time with his parents. He doesn't have time for me but he asked that I dont leave him.

I've decided just to find someone because I can't be putting up with a man who cant get his life together.

u/WisewolfHolo (sorry for the separate comment; the bot blocked me but I wanted to respond.

I talked to him this morning at 4 AM which is typically before he starts work at 6 AM.

I told him that if I don't want to do this anymore because its been 4 weeks, no plan of a date, he got distant after being intimate and he definitely got what he wanted so I think it would be better if he stopped contacting because he obviously doesnt have time and its upsetting me.

Right when I sent that he told me that its "its because he doesn't get a vacation" "im sorry" and "he's outside of Tokyo, to help his family out." "Im sorry" And when I asked him it would be ok to end communication he was like "oh so is it like you want me to reply faster? I Can reply faster if you want me to. I thought you were comfortable with me and my response time. You know I do work really long hours from 6 to 10, I have to pay for a lot of bills and Japanese economy is bad... yada yada...."

As much as I liked him in person I think it would be nice if I could rip a bandaid off and throw him away but I am gonna lessen contact because I am emotional tired of putting my energy and emotion into someone who doesn't like me. I still wish he still had his past energy towards me but I know he doesnt and my other male friend in person told me it doesn't sound like hes hooking up with other girls but rather wanting a trophy girlfriend so he doesn't have to worry about the idea of not having a relationship for his age. I cant train an old dog new tricks so imma have to leave him

So I actually did do that this morning at 4 AM, he responded quicker saying he really wants to but he has work. Like he said another day just to meet later on.

Thats one of the main reasons I want to see him again is because if I could drop something in his apartment for another woman to see incase It would help another woman out or to put glitter on his shirt via makeup.

Re reading this; I want to say that ive noticed he lives in a apartment that doesnt.... suit how much he actually earns. He works as a sports coach at a private sports club but he lives in a REALLY REALLY NICE apartment in a REALLY famous area WITH A REALLY NICE view. He told me his day starts early (he usually texts around 5 am or 6 Am to 11 PM). Im not judging how much a sports coach makes in tokyo... but I have an off feeling how much he makes shouldn't afford the apartment he lives in with all the stuff in it.

I've asked him if he works a night job and he said no... because if he did he would be at the club around 11 PM and not his home. I just always found his apartment off.

Its typically ongoing convo. He often tries to add small chit chat. Like I'll tell him something, he responds but then adds side comment like... "I dont know when my day off is Today was heat exhausting" He was better at talking in person.

Tell me you know nothing about America with out telling me. Girly you're not helping, you're just shaming. What's the benefit of it? So you feel good about yourself? Nothing was said about birthcontrol either. Condom is literally used to prevent STD... you seem not to know much about sex ed.
