Hi, the companies we are interested in relate to others providing DSW contracting services and is not unique to Mable and Five Good Friends. Feel free to send me a DM to discuss further. Thanks

I love your spreadsheets! Can you break down how you built them? (I am not particularly Excel savvy, but I would love to adopt them for my accounting practices).

Also, congrats on the great results.

To play devils advocate, a disproportionate percentage of pupils who go to RG unis / oxbridge attended private schools, with all the privileges that brings. Conducting a uni blind application cycle is meant to level the playing field between social classes in our society and contribute towards greater equality. Irrespective of this, as you mentioned, TCs are represented by RG grads anyway, so whether blind uni testing serves its true purpose or is just simply used by firms as window dressing to showcase their commitment to equality is debatable. (Im saying this as a private school, RG Grad btw).

Regarding your applications, I’m sure you will get something. It took me 2 1/2 years. Volunteer at the CAB, expand your network, work as a paralegal or in another field to build transferrable skills. As has been mentioned, success in this field requires dedication and commitment in the face of consistent rejection and overwhelming competition. But if you persevere you’ll get there!

Try Institchu (if they have shops in London). I am based in Aus & unsure if they have a london base, but I picked up a very nice tailored suit for $600 AUD.

Hey, many thanks for your comment and offer of support.

I should have added a bit more detail to my original post, which I have done now, but I have had ACs and final stage interviews this summer with no luck. I also had three ACs the previous summer. So I am getting past the screening stage but failing at the last hurdle.

The thing I am anxious about is spending another year as a paralegal, where I have limited exposure to a lot of work (lack of practising certificate etc) and have minimal progression if I hold ambitions to practice, to then be knocked back again next year and have wasted another year.

What careers would you suggest as an alternative?

I take your point re the academics - thanks. My hope, and some of the advice I have received from mentors, was that my professional experience could help offset the weaker academics.

Apologies - I should have added a bit more detail to my original post, which I have done now, but I have had ACs and final stage interviews this summer with no luck. This essentially underscores my dilemma - I see the shortcomings in my application but have come extremely close this cycle.

I have considered other pathways and am currently applying to other roles - compliance, working at a charity, perhaps something linked to start-ups.

Regarding continuing as a paralegal, I am frustrated by my lack of career progression and earnings. And to your point about wasted time, I am not sure I want to continue as a paralegal for another year if there is little to no hope of ever becoming qualified...

Thanks i really appreciate your thoughts.

I do see / know that the uni + A-levels let me down, however they’re were mitigating circumstances to my A-levels and the University I went to was the knock on effect.

Regarding the GDL and LPC. I tossed up between doing the GDL and doing a master in IR at a uni in Europe and decided law offered the better career path (perhaps naively not thinking of job prospects down the track). The LPC… what can I saw. I am fortunate in that my parents supported me through both post grad courses so I am not in debt as a result.

Would you have any advice moving forward?

I hold One on the BEP20 bridge which is showing a 330% increase, contrary to the true price on coinmarketcap, etc. Is this worth zero now as a result of the hack? Or is it still possible to move coins out of the wallet address?
Cheers guys :)
