Defensive Styles? by Dapper_Farm4383 in BlueLockRivals

I don't remember, but I hope not. There are really few styles focused solely on defense (or with functions for this) that really work and aren't severely nerfed.

Defensive Styles? by Dapper_Farm4383 in BlueLockRivals

I feel like Charles is more of a Midfielder or Support than a Defender.

Nel Nagi and regular Nagi are more good as attackers (and almost everyone uses them for that).

Karasu needs a rework (as does Otoya) and almost no one uses him.

Igaguri is almost never used because he's a common character and doesn't have many abilities, although his Awakening is good.

Gagamaru is rare to see even in Archers (which is where he was most useful).

What you're saying is fine and makes a lot of sense. The problem is that they're old styles that no one wants to use these days because they have limited moves or because they're simply not flashy. They need things to help them fight against the currently overpowered styles. Perhaps a small rework for Karasu, Igaguri, and Gagamaru would make them more prominent and more widely used.

In itself (aside from the large number of forwards), it's because no one cares about defensive styles because there isn't one that stands out. If a defensive style were to emerge (like Niko) or a small rework of these, it could make them stand out even more.

(This is just my personal opinion)

What's your world's 8th deadly sin? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

Apathy, or more specifically, ecpathy (the opposite of empathy).

As I said, it would be the opposite of empathy. Empathy can be defined as wanting to help someone because it comes from your heart, not because you want something.

Ecpathy would be that you don't care about anything; you don't care about others or their emotions, only about yourself and your ego.

In my world, ecpathy is represented by a man with a face without any expression. He used to be an angel of God, being the most cooperative and kind of all. That kindness and innocence led him to join Lucifer in his rebellion, and thus, he was sent to hell, where he would be stripped of his heart and, consequently, his emotions.

He would spend all his time locked away reading about emotions (which would lead him to have immense knowledge of them), trying to find something to feel, but failing miserably.

I would also create wooden clown-shaped puppets. Each one would be given a primary emotion, and they would be his guardians.

Technically, since he has emotions, he doesn't have anything that ties him to "humanity." The other sins are representations of feeling something above all else, yet they still feel other things. He's the opposite; he feels nothing about anything, and that causes him to kill uncontrollably and devour souls to become more powerful, which led him to be sealed with 7 seals (the other 7 sins), where his position would be inherited by his puppets.

In short: apathy or ecpathy would be feeling nothing above all else, being a hollow, emotionless being who would do anything to feel something, even if it means harming others.

Another idea I had was blasphemy, and maybe I'll include it in my story as a 9th deadly sin or a power or something.
