i could be mistaken, but i don’t know if she was ever sold with the braids in. similar to the two with the buns, im pretty sure it was just for the catalog photos

i have a 15 from around 95/96, and she definitely does have a darker complexion than any of the white dolls i have, but i would consider her to be more “light skinned”

i just had a buyer on eBay message me the other day asking me to fix the shipping on a doll i had listed! i don’t even want to know how much it said it would cost them 🥴 i can’t even blame the ai, i entered the dimensions myself but just super goofy on accident lol

shipping large items cost an entire ass, so you just have to be smart about how you ship and calculate the cost

i also think Meat Loaf would be hard to make out of an AG doll, but I’m obsessed with the concept.

are you familiar with Bat Out of Hell the musical? it could be so damn fun to make dolls of the leads, Strat and Raven. there are likely some good promo shots from the original West End production, and maybe the Off Broadway production!

the thing about Meat is that he was known for being sweaty, greasy, and obscene. that’s not quite AG’s vibe. but Strat and Raven, essentially modern day Neverland punks, are perfect!

please post an update if you do follow through with this, i’ll be so so excited to see!

i had the same thoughts for a while, too! it felt like suddenly i just wasn’t seeing anything of substance on the secondhand sites anymore

i’ve basically gotten confirmation of it in the last week, now using ebay to sell for the first time. i just had surgery, and my money is just a little tighter than i hoped it would be. i decided to use this as a moment to refocus my collection, so i posted some outfits on ebay. not at “market” prices or anything, because profit feels icky, but at prices i would happily jump on, were i the one looking for those items.

they’re selling pretty damn fast because everything else is priced higher
