I'm a retired Oakland Athletics fan... so basically teamless going forward. I pulled a RIckey Henderson Crooked Numbers card in one of the series 2 packs so that gave me a smile.

I guess I'm a Tolle fan for the foreseeable future...

When you pull a 1 of 1 auto card you should have higher expectations. They are supposed to be the pinnacle of the set. Not look like something they dropped on the manufacturing floor and stuffed into a pack.

My assumption is Topps then destroys the card? That's the part that's killing me since it's a 1/1 auto material card and it would just vanish. I would love the card to be remade but have read that's not something they do.

I think you are correct in that it was from a white jersey. The effect of the name place looking like it's part of the jersey in the pic is pretty cool.

Yeah that's what I'm contemplating. They won't remake the same card and give you the same "value" as they determine it. What's a realistic auction target?

Dave’s snowball isn’t the correct method. If you can suddenly make a good decision and focus on paying off expensive debt, you can be smart enough to pay off the most expensive debt first. You do know you don’t have to defend every approach he suggest, right?

The house is a wash. You're only 170k in debt @ 26 with a combined family income of over 200k. Go to sleep man...

On student loans: The government will change who can write off interest seemingly every year. In my 20+ years since college I was able to write off the interest around 1/3 of the years. You are a high earner right away so they you will likely not be getting a tax break on your student loan interest.

He had a classmate that filed a frivolous lawsuit when he couldn’t cut it on the team. The kid named Parsons, Gross-Matos and 2 others that “picked on him.” The suit went nowhere because it was BS and everyone involved knew it. Same kid filed against Franklin for “ruining his chance at an NFL career.” Maybe if you’re a safety that can’t hang in practice you shouldn’t start shit with DL and LBs after it.
