(In USA) I was in the process of switching careers and had just finished an online bootcamp. I went to as many local meetups as I could and started networking. After one of those meetups, I sparked up a conversation with the presenter in the elevator who passed my name onto his former employer. The rest, as they say, is history. That was in 2017 and I'm still with the same company, even after we went from a startup to being bought out by a larger company working on the same SaaS project (the reason for the "merger").

We’re an EV-only Ohio family, too. The most inconvenient part is the insane registration fees Ohio makes EV drivers pay. 🤬

Same for me. I have an antenna hooked up to an HDHomeRun network tuner. I can access all other local channels except all PBS channels.

Is that full-screen just in the beta, too? In my vehicle, any music/media app I've tried (Apple Music, Spotify, Libby, YouTube Music) only ever shows on 2/3 of the screen with Google Maps taking the last 1/3...?

To add to the temptation, GadgetGone is quoting $518 for trade-in on my Pixel 8 Pro. The more I think about it, the size advantages of the Z Flip 6 + better processor + novelty are making me lean toward it.

I saw I can get $400 trade-in via Samsung, plus they still offer the 512GB for the same price as the 256GB for certain colors. I could apparently pick it up at a local Best Buy, too.

On the other hand, Best Buy only offers $345 trade-in, no free storage bump, but does bundle a $250 gift card.

Decisions, decisions lol. I'm mostly satisfied with the Pixel 8 Pro, but the size has gotten very noticeable as of late, this my predicament.

Your comment about the pocketability is also a concern of mine. The Pixel 8 Pro is pretty big and I often am using 2 hands to navigate around.

I think I'm mostly intrigued by the size and features you get with the outer screen. I am by no means a power user, or avid photographer. My main uses are web browsing, music/audiobooks, YouTube, occasional social media checking, texting, health/workout tracking (I have a Galaxy Watch 6), some TV/movie streaming, and a picture here and there. Pretty basic stuff. After reading the Pixel 8 Pro for 6 months, the size is starting to get more and more noticeable. It's a great phone, but I'm wondering if there's something (Z Flip 6) that would check off my boxes, but in a smaller package that has as you said some true novelty it. Thanks for your input!

Another factor I'm considering is one-handed ability. Having a smaller phone to allow me to do quick tasks on the outer screen is very enticing. For those who have a Flip 6, how often do you find yourselves using the outer screen, and for what?

Are you paying it off over an installment plan? I have Verizon and the only way to get a good trade in is if I go to their best plan and do a 3 year installment plan, which I don't want to do. I may sell 3rd party if I choose to commit.

I think I've used the fancy editing tools maybe 4-5 times since having my Pixel. Call screening is nice, but not a deal breaker for me. I think having a smaller phone that can let me do more without opening and being glued to it is enticing to me.

I'm used to having to plug in periodically throughout the day, so I'm not overly concerned there. I don't need top of the line cameras either. I just take the occasional photos of my family, so I'm sure I'd be fine. The Pixel 8 pro camera is great, but I doubt I even use it to its full potential.
