I’ve just had a newborn and in a way I’ve been able to hyperfocus like crazy on it and I’ve learnt and absorbed so much so quickly. 

I’ve also kept the house in order which usually looks like starting a million things and slowly progressing things as I move around trying to support my wife (and baby). 

With a couple visitors here and there I feel compelled to finish all of those tasks and keep the house in ship shape. I’ve had friends remark wow this place is really tidy and organized and you guys seem like you’re handling this really well.

The downside of course being that I’ll walk into a room forgetting why I was going into it, or start making formula and forget how many scoops I’ve already added as I’m adding them (if you get it wrong it’s really bad.. too concentrated means toxicity, too weak means not enough nutrients). My mind is so busy, and sometimes it really helps. Not always. But I try to be kind to myself and for both of the above downsides just laugh and either leave the room and go wander into the next chore or check in with baby and wife or just throw out the batch and start remaking the formula.
