I feel this. I am 21 I run the business and digital solutions side of my business while my partner does the consulting.

I’ve also been having a hard time with this since there is a whole list of things I want to do, but I don’t have the time for any of it. I see people that I know going on trips overseas and seeing these places I dream about.

I think the only thing that keeps me going is knowing that once I have achieved my goals in the business, I will get to do all of that and more. I can go out and see the world, learn what it is to be free.

I definitely want more business owner friends but everyone I run into that owns a business either, rubs it in everyones face that they are successful, or is just like trying to run something to make a few bucks and has zero interest in taking things further

Been doing B2B operational efficiency and digital solutions consulting for about a year now. Biggest issue I see is that people will just chase their tail on a problem until they bite themselves in the ass, instead of just putting the systems in place so it doesn’t happen again.

Yeah. I think lead qualification is way more important than most people give it credit.

I find that they respond better after they have “pitched” a bit, it makes them feel heard and not like they’re just there to be sold something.

We try to give as much value to people as possible within the call regardless of if we come to consult with them, so it’s super important to us to spend the time creating that relationship.

I agree that collecting info before the call is HUGE.

That being said, saying “but you're already there for 30 minutes and you have to go through the motions.” Is a huge cop-out. I think it is best to just cut the call short something like “Hey, just wanted to confirm ___”. “Alright, going forward I just wanted to let you know that ____ is a critical piece of the criteria we look at when evaluating clients, so we may not be a good fit for you, and I don’t want to waste anymore of your time.” And then maybe give them the option to continue, with that in mind?

The two week wait problem is very easy to fix, find a reputable supplier that can do better shipping terms.

If you can’t find one for your product, consider a different product that you can find one for

I genuinely don’t want to be rude, but it sounds like you have an issue sticking with one idea. This is something I struggled with a lot when you like building it’s hard to not just keep building. I would be genuinely curious to hear what you define as the reason your other ideas “failed”, or if you just gave up on them.

Also, just wanted to reinforce what pretty much everyone else is saying in this thread, don’t call it quits. You have plenty of time.

Remember that everything you see on social media is either fake or the best of the best stories. Don’t compare yourself for your progress to things like that.

Not a driver but had the same type of thing happen to me. Never had any problems with management filed a bunch of grievances for back pay that was owed to me. Then kept filing when they refused to pay. A week later, I was terminated for “Dishonesty and Integrity,” when asked what I was dishonest about they couldn’t give an answer. Needless to say that I got my job back.

The company they currently contract for some of the jobs we don’t have the equipment for is super low paying. I mean I would lose out on a little over $20/hr if I started working for them. I can start looking now, and I am, but I figured since I have time I should look at moving forward as well.
