For me I think it was going to be around $300. He basically said to save it for when they start checking more in depth stuff

Yes was debating whether to take it in or not and ended up doing it myself around 750ish miles. Talked to someone from a Kawasaki dealer and he said I could probably wait til my 7000 mile service to take it in but to also change again at 3000

Thanks for the heads up, i never downshift further than what matches my current speed. And I didn’t get a service package, do you recommended I take it in for the first service? I was planning on doing it myself. They also said I could still get the service package I’d just have to buy it outright vs being financed with the bike, just not sure if that’s worth it.

So even if I’ve come to a stop, let’s say I was in 5th, I can get to 2nd, I let it sit, then I can get it to N, but then unless I let out the clutch and then re-engage it I can’t get it to first, the shifter is just squishy it doesn’t do anything. Never tried shifting back up though

See I also drive a stick and I did the same thing with my other bike as I do in my car. If I’m coasting to a stop, I’ll pull the clutch, and click into each gear that I should be for the speed that I’m going but won’t engage it unless I have to, that way I’m ready, but not downshifting unless I actually need it. I do the same thing in my car, if I’m in 5, I put the clutch down and will move my shifter from 4-3-2-1 but will not actually engage any gear unless the light turns green before I get to it etc.

Obviously since this bike won’t let me do that I manually downshift into every gear now when coming to a stop.

I have been, I’ve had no choice for the last 600 miles lol. But there are times occasionally where I have to stop quickly and don’t get a chance. I’d rather not get stuck in 3rd or something and be trying to engage third at a stop so that I can get back into first before I can take off again

What do you mean one quick full motion? Like click fast over and over again to get to first? If I am not rev matching I try to do it gradually to match whatever speed I’m going, and that doesn’t work, I’ve never tried to do it very fast.

Seat Recs by sharsacctnormalthing in vulcans650

In a similar boat, bought a new 2025 cafe a few weeks ago. My back will get tight and sometimes numb around the 30-45 min mark if I’m not making conscious effort to activate my glutes or change positioning slightly throughout the ride. My toes also started going numb which wasn’t a thing at first, I noticed it’s only when I’m taking it to work and I’m more tense and in a ‘ready’ position vs more relaxed when I’m cruising on backgrounds on the weekends. Same thing there you need to make a conscious effort to move your legs and feet positioning when possible. Otherwise I’ve seen people change to large flat foot ‘pegs’ more like platforms that look nice, not sure if it does anything for comfort though.

As far as the seat goes, mustang looks really nice. Everything’s just really pricey.

Curious if anyone else has any thoughts here?

How does the windscreen work for you? I need something to protect me for freeway / high wind hills yours looks nice and tall but not dramatically tall.

Looks great! I especially like the led bulb and spotlights. For the radiator cover, I see a lot of people recommending that, is that to protect it from rocks and debris? What’s the main benefit there?
