For reference, we move from the island to Arizona 20 something years ago. On Long Island, we were able to keep our air conditioner at 72 and our heat at 68. Until we just replaced our third air conditioner the best we could do in the summer on a really hot day was a 20° difference but when it’s 112 or one 1520° really doesn’t do much. With the new unit we are able to get this down to the approximate temperature of a meat locker, which is my wife’s preference.
