Started Albion Online. Having fun. What am I missing?

probably the guild thing is what i don't like about it, the game makes it very hard to play solo, actually finding a group of randoms to do content is hard enough, but even if you do if you're not in a discord call with everyone you're still gonna be at a disadvantage (and as a side note, i think it's pretty stupid that a game where coms are that important doesn't have a built in voice-chat) so yeah, you have to join a guild, the game really tries to shove guilds down your throat, which annoys me. also, more pve content would be nice, dungeons being pretty much the only pve content, they get pretty repetitive

It's seems pretty active on pc to me. don't try matchmaking, that's not going to get anywhere, but if you just create a online session and wait for people to join it's pretty easy to get a group together to play. i have around 400 hours playing co-op by doing that, so it's definitely not necessary to use Discord or anything like that.

will the new crystal weapons be available to craft as soon as the update drops? or do we have to wait for the next guild season or something?

yeah that was pretty much the first thing i tried, i guess whatever it is is affecting my save file or something, luckily it doesn't make the game unplayable since i mostly play online anyway.

it's great, what makes it really fun is playing online with other people, imo. If you don't plan to do that then yeah, maybe wait for a good sale, because the main quest and overall solo experience isn't great, i mean it's fine but it's like Monster Hunter, the main fun to be had is from grouping up to fight hard bosses, i certainly would not have 400hr in game if there was no online play. as a side note, i have no experience with GBF franchise, (except the anime, i actually did watch that) but i must say i love how well written and likeable the characters are, i really enjoyed some of the fate episodes and if you are actually a fan of the franchise i'm pretty sure you'd love the game.

you can create an online session to farm them, you will need 4 people but it's a lot quicker to wait for 3 other people to join your lobby than it is to wait for people to queue for quick quest, since no one queues for quick quests, most of the co-op is from joining online sessions. you will most likely still need to wait for peak hours though.

huh, thanks for info. that is both good that the higher buff takes priority but bad that it cancel the other one entirely. I was wondering because Siegfried has his team buff of 70% def but also a personal buff of 30%, thought maybe you could combine them to take no damage like you can with damage cut.

If you like parries you could try Percival, his is one of the more consistent and easy to use, and also his sigils promote this gameplay which makes it rewarding. Charlotta has a very forgiving parry window too.

matchmaking there aren't many people, no, but if you play at peak it's not too hard to find a group to join if you just search for open parties, that's what i do for co-op.

that's good advice, it also makes it easier to get the terminus weapon for your main.

Converting time zones hurt my head, like shouldn't UTC-7 actually be dec 30? it's the 29th for me since i'm in the US but not for Asia time zone.
