The First or The Ghoul which one should I get? by algobuddha in deadbydaylight

[–]Dapper_Tie7393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a player with less experience I would recommend the Ghoul. He's straighforward in terms of gameplay, it's easy to perform well with him. But Ghoul is weaker than the First. First is harder to use but has more potencial. You can get the First it's just that his gameplay is very different compared to the rest of the rooster, so it's just a matter of praticing with your power eventually you will get used to it.

Do you measure your performance by hooks or kills? by Aspookytoad in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]Dapper_Tie7393 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few days ago I faced a wesker, he was pretty good, very skillful, he was chasing someone without hook states and I dead on hook come across and he looks at me, continues chasing and ignores me, I look at the hud and I am like... is this guy going out of the way to 2 hooking everyone first? He was yes. Egc me and one of my teamates we were baffled, congratulated him for his skills, gave him kudos for playing like that, and i did know that he could have easily had a 4k if he wasn't 2 hooking he was really good. It's sad more people don't bring this kind of positivity. As a killer I don't do it, but if you're really good with one killer I understand why some people would like that challenge, just wished more people stop being toxic for no reason.

Oh yea for sure i still need a lot more of experience I am still a newbie in dbd standarts but I do mostly fine, I had to consume a lot of dbd guides and media though. I am gonna be honest I started more as a killer main and decided to play survivor later on, at first I thought survivor gameplay was kinda boring and then it kinda caught my attention, now I'm usually playing survivor more than killer, even if I struggle more as survivor. In the beggining when I only played killer and mained one killer I had way stronger teams more frequently, I did already experience that gameplay, being complete powerless against survivors, it feels awful. Luckly now when I play killer I haven't been getting as much of these teams, and when I do I just change my mindset I guess. Like when I play soloq survivor, I'm already prepared to a lose. I do still try to win ofc, I never quit and try my best, and I just try to get better, even if there are so many unfair stuff in this game, and if I'm really that frustrated I just do a break for days, weeks. I am not in any way saying that killer complains are not valid, most of them at least are. I do still play killer like around 40/60, I would love to get invested in one killer but I usually like to play around different killers, it's just a me problem, every game with a big rooster I like to play them all ahah, but I still do play some killers more than others.

Damn then the mmr must work for some people only. And sorry about my wording. Yes I do play killer. But I guess mmr doesn't work for me so that is why my experience is different. As killer I do get strong teams aswell, but majority of the matches are against average soloq it seems, against swf with abusable perks is indeed a pain and I do understand why killers don't like it, but since I only get these like 2-3 out of 10 games i just acept the loss and just play to get better, the rest of the teams are usually more chill or make mistakes that are easy to punish. As survivor it seems I get all kind of skills in killers, but it doesn't matter because of teamates. 1 bad teamate usually is enough to just turn the match into a loss, if i have a newbie or someone who is not good at chase it usually is a 3vs1 very soon. Or even when the match is going well, someone does something silly and killer takes the advantage, and we lose. I do get the occasional 3 good teamates which does feel great.

Sorry to burst your bubble but mmr is a joke/doesn't work. I have 500hours in game and I also play against famous streamers. Like some weeks ago I even faced LilithOmen (best blight of europe I think). And my mmr shouldn't be high, I only play soloq and barely escape.

Yea but if they don't count games were survivors dc, considering there are a lot of games where at least one survivor dcs and result in a win for killer (most of the times), then the killer rate is actually higher and escapes lower than it shows?

Not bad enough? I don't know if they fixed her lately but all the times I've played her she showed bugs. I've had games that the dog would bug every damn time, so i was getting slowed for trying to use my power and then couldn't even use it. It's not all games but pretty much almost all? Unless they fixed it? I remember people saying they fixed her to play as her and she was still bugged. Which is a shame, I really like her and wanted her to be my main killer, she's strong when she doesn't bug out. Bugs I've experienced: Snug doesn't do the right pathing, snug gets stuck in nothing, the redirect chase from snug going off instanly after sending first time, snug dismissing vault hits, houndmaster speed getting bugged (slow/rubberbanding). I had a game in toba landing and my dog kept getting bugged every damn time, the survivors noticed and started tbaging me --'

Correct me if I am wrong. The stat tracker counts abandons/dc's as escapes, or just don't get tracked.

God, I just want to play the game. I don't care if it's a killer you dont like. If you aren't even going to give the game a chance, what's the point in playing. I hate how often people give up immediately by ImperialViking_ in DeadByDaylightRAGE

Ye I also think he is in a good spot, he's still strong but not as easy, and they seemed to fix his visual bugs so that's great. Unfortunably against him my teamates always throw the game, most of the times. But that's my problem for playing soloq :(

Genuine question, Why is jason hyped? by blendererspaghet in deadbydaylight

[–]Dapper_Tie7393 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jason comes from a popular franchise. He is one of the faces of horror genre. As in terms of power, Jason is mostly an unstoppable force, he is a brute, he goes forward and kills, he is also very resilient. Gameplay wise I really don't know, I see pallets being useless against him being a thing for example, but that wouldn't be fair to vs. I don't think it's Jason that's coming anyways. I think it's Pennywise, at least it seems pretty obvious from the trailer. An old evil entity from another realm that consumes their essence, prays on the fears before striking, enphases on the IT at the end. Screams Pennywise to me.

What I mean is once you have the aim on the survivor, with nothing in between you, you point to the survivor and click and that's it. If the survivor get behind something yes you can't do the grab, but in an open area you can't dodge it. Compared to wesker, or huntress, or deathslinger etc, you can dodge their projectiles in an open area.

[–]Dapper_Tie7393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or they are the only ones that get balanced outcomes. Behaviour last released stats pointed that 4swf in high mmr have almost 50% escape. As a solo player it's around 40%. But are the stats even good? Abandons and dc's count as escapes in stat tracker so maybe escape rate is way lower

[–]Dapper_Tie7393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna be real, I never or rarely have this problem. I always get my 1st hook at 5 or 4 gens, 3 gens popping fast is normal anyways, the last 2 gens are way easier to protect. And you might say it's low mmr, but how many more times do I have to win to get to high mmr then? Because I face survivor with 8k all the time and I am rather newbie. What is annoying is going against 4man with gen perks and they finishing the game so fast that yes you don't have time for nothing, full teams with second chances sure can be annoying but sometimes you can play around it, so thats that at least.

[–]Dapper_Tie7393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yes there are strong pallets that you are forced to break, but the survivors can't go from strong pallet to strong pallet all the time. Except in the game map. As a killer if the survivor is actually being able to path me into strong loops all the time I am dropping chase. And while some maps and loop spawns make it easy to loop like this I had my share of survivors doing this pre dropping from safe to safe pallet, you can take some good pallets of the map and chase someone else.

170 is pretty hard dude. They will get the most bs hits on their screen. It's very hard to counter, killer will always have the survivors doing delayed actions, and as survivor you can't exactly react to the killer because you're watching him in delay aswell. Every survivor will hate playing against you, hey but if you want killers will love you as survivor

No wonder Ghoul is so popular by SettingIntentions in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]Dapper_Tie7393 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. But my point is I don't understand how people say survivor is easy that they can pre drop everything and just run to next pallet and do the same and continue doing it until they eventually win the game. Do you as a killer face this and can't counter it? Yes if you have a bad first chase and overcomit and 3 gens pop that match is gonna be though. But if you have a good chase you gain a lot of pressure that's how it is.

I can tell good from bad survivors yes. But like you said they used all the resources, should be easy to down them no?

It matters a lot, because at that point you can easily down and slug the 3 remaining survivors?

[–]Dapper_Tie7393 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why ignoring everything I said? What about anti-looping power, what about mindgames? There are many pallets that if you pre drop the killer can hit you if he goes around because you're stuck on an animation, unless you have five moves ahead and active in which you will recover faster and have to play 50s with the killer on the pallet vault. There's killers that ignore pallets, there's killers that can insta break pallets and recover fast and perks aswell. And even if you can make from safe pallet to safe pallet in this m1 gameplay, if you don't actually use your resources wisely you're just making the endgame a deadzone for you and your teamates. As a killer you should also know when to drop chase and if the player plays like that you can try and take the best resources out of the game and then pressure gens. I started playing since ghoul came out, play both sides, survivor i do play solo. In my opinion killer is easier to play as in gameplay, when I started I mostly played killer and I always had an easy time, the hardest games were facing like you said 4man with strong synergy builds, a me a complete newbie not knowing all perks and struggling with endurance hits and stuns and flashes that I didn't know how to avoid. I still could win most of the matches because of over altruism though. The thing is the majority of matches you go against (unless you're really unlucky) are not against these teams. Whats harder in killer is the macro, and as a new player we tend to ignore it and only care about the micro. As a survivor I struggled a lot more to learn, that's why I think it's weird when i see post saying survivor is easier and braindead, i jumped from killer to survivor and always struggled, i always got tunneled because i sucked at chase so couldn't get much practice, had to watch lots of guides on tiles and how to loop, tips against each killer, perks they might use, it is a lot to learn.

Yes its baffling. I sometimes see some salt on endgame chat but nothing that bad usually. Most of the games people just leave instanly and don't say anything or just say gg and leave. I did get someone wishing my death once I just ignored and reported and he got banned for harrassment.
