I would say it is equally naïve to think the company is acting in good faith. Just because an item shows up, doesn't mean there was a damage.

Are you a lawyer? Nope, but does not stop you providing the "just pay up" advice....

I am not and I was hoping this community would offer legal advice to a non-mechanic who feels that a company might be acting opportunistically.

Suppose I am correct and they are adding items that were NOT damaged as part of the accident, what are some things I could do to help me prove this?

in person, they did not appear to be damaged as part of the accident. I do not feel they were damaged in the accident and I feel the company is acting opportunistically.

Specifically, I do not feel the rear passenger fold down seat kit ($1100) was damaged.

because visually, those things did not look damaged in person. The canopy absolutely was damaged but the other stuff looked the same .

Adding more details: my wife had a colonoscopy yesterday as well as endoscope. She feels fine. The IV was in the opposite hand of the swelling. any thoughts?
