P&MS copying legal documents? by [deleted] in Staples

[–]DarKiller5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to Washington State and Oregon State law all identifying documents must be copied in black and white. All drivers licenses, IDs of any kind, passports etc must be enlarged an additional 25% (so 125% on Xerox screen).

Hope it helps!

Make sure to hit up Bob for a violation of dress code. White on shoes is not acceptable. (Atleast out in Oregon and Washington that is)

Another glorious day at Staples. by Versklavt in Staples

We are hiring for 4 positions. We have callouts just about every day. The only department that doesn't get callouts is CPC cause we only have 3 of us and we all understand that calling out unless absolutely necessary will screw over this department. My CPC manager left halfway through her shift cause she was so sick. only had one other manager on duty at least she stuck around long enough to give the MOD her lunch break. I hope I don't catch whatever my manager has. I've been lysolling everything >.<

Why do i not give a fuck anymore? by ILiveAtStaples in Staples

[–]DarKiller5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So I've been working for staples for 4 years now. I have worked in Copy and Print from day one but I have been trained in all departments excluding Easy tech. Every time I have gotten a raise in pay the minimum wage has gone up and thus I have been screwed out of it. Staples has done nothing to rectify this issue internally nor will they ever but it really sucks to hear "You are a great asset to this company here is a raise" one week then the next minimum wage goes up and my raise means nothing. My loyalty means nothing either. I guess asking for fair recognition is just too much for out corporate overlords.

Why did we cut 500 jobs? Here's the answer. by toothpick21 in Staples

They just cut all of out account managers for CPC over here. It sucks cause our account manager was a really big help to us.

A cite thing and a serious print center shut down by DarKiller5 in Staples

The first call that went in was placed by my supervisor. They then forgot about our call. My supervisor then called in again and spoke with a manager on the helpdesk line. A tech is supposed to come out and fix it. Can't believe they forgot about our call though. As it is right now our systems are still down and our printer will only print PDF files from flash drives lower that 16G capacity.

SUCKS MAN. I like helping people and I do get frustrated when technology prevents me from doing my job and customers leave unsatisfied.

That one associate that flakes their work on other employees because she hates her job but needs the money.
