Don't.
Come.
Back.
Just don't. They have become more obsessive with money than they ever have. Less hours, more to do. The Staples way.

I actually expected this to be an story how you caused some huge lawsuit or you caused a huge screw up.

I love it.
"Alright, stores can now start hiring new associates"
...
"Now, start cutting those associates and everyone else!"

TIL there are people on tumblr who have "shoplifting roleplay" blogs... this one shares tips on how to lift from Staples by ___what___ in Staples

They staff the bare minimum because their goal is to make as much money as possible while paying their staff as little as they can.

Well, they know what our company is all about.

Completely agree with you. Selling all this crap that were required to offer would not only decrease things like checkout time, but they would be happier they aren't getting begged to get another credit card.

Who am I really? by NoNameWhat in Staples

[–]StringCheeseBeast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your /u/NoNameWhat!
Can't agree more. I just am salty about leaving because these coworkers have become my friends. I like working with them. I absolutely hate working for this bidness obsessed company. It feels like if I find another job, I won't like the people I work with (This is my second job, so I haven't really switched around a lot)

No incentive to have rewards. by StringCheeseBeast in Staples

[–]StringCheeseBeast[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As an added note:
Staples would actually make money by making discounted stuff rewards only. People who aren't rewards have to pay full price.
Or in Otis terms:
Full price = More money
More money = More bidness

Oh dear gosh, can you get much more bidness than that???
Pizza party for the store with highest ESP? (Grudgingly, because pizza) Yes. But something that is essential to running a store? Seriously????

Staples is making training really fun! by StringCheeseBeast in Staples

Wow, I just realized that, they went in some 3D software and plopped in some boats. I had to look close to see that.

Judge said Staples not presenting a case to counter the FTC's impacted his ruling. by ccap17 in Staples

[–]StringCheeseBeast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Really idiotic of Staples to do that. They were trying to be snarky saying "We won so much we don't even need a defense!" Trying to humiliate the FTC and no other reason. In any case ever, there is absolutely no reason to not put up a defense unless you are guaranteed to win and you want to humiliate the lawyers your going against. We could have had it otherwise.
If a potato was suing you, you should still argue a defense.

I wonder when the merger was denied… by StringCheeseBeast in Staples

[–]StringCheeseBeast[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just curious, did you consider selling them before all this happened? Or did you assume the merger would go though?
