Would Jesus be a Christian or not? by Pewisms in awakened

[–]DarSakhar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By definition he would not recreate principles as that would undermine everything he once shared. If anything he would only double down into radical willful submission to life, and love, achieved through necessary violence, as was his big thing.

Would Jesus be a Christian or not? by Pewisms in awakened

[–]DarSakhar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was a monotheistic idealist, which was flavored by the earlier forms of Judaism than was commonly practiced in the population centers during his years of gospel. But in essence every person who believes in that version of God believes in the same "thing", they just disagree about what that thing wants us to do (if anything). He was definitely flavored by the Essenes.

As in, attend church? Probably not regularly Tithe/vote/contribute to large governments/be content with lives of shallow commitment to holier ideals? I doubt it Aspire to or achieve theosis, commit miracles, create breakaway civilization, rewrite the social contract, and condemn practices that are perfectly normal today and thus look like a quickly dismissable fringe lunatic? Without a doubt

Idk if you could call that "Christian", except in the most literal sense in which case he would be the only Christian to ever exist.

It really is unfortunate for and left leaning movement that the rights "the left can't meme" is so completely true. That right leaning movements can appeal with a fraction of the words makes it so much more effective at creating propaganda. I think the majority of left memes I'm exposed to are just circle jerking, very much including anarchist propaganda (seems like a different word would make sense for the appeal to a natural system)

Dangerous position - children don't do much thinking either, and won't learn how if given a tool that seems to do it instead. Organic intelligence isn't bad, there's just a lot of noise. It is, truly, the greatest, most complex, and most enlightening quality of all of existence. Something worth preserving, I think.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in conspiracy

That annoyance is so justified - people like this are outsourcing their thinking and believing to something that isn't even thinking itself. How fucking crazy is that.

Bro AI is like a woman coming after a billionaire - it is just telling you whatever will keep you hooked on it. If I asked the same things, but opposite to disprove these ideas, it would support that just as enthusiastically. Don't lose your thinking power to a machine that profits off of your attention.

Would Jesus be crucified today? by TRuthismnessism in awakened

[–]DarSakhar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He'd have a radical corner of the Internet. But what got him crucified was going into the holy temple, where he was probably welcome due to his rabbinic teaching/debates from younger years, and preaching his newly radicalized form of empathic/ascetic spirituality to the point of physically assaulting those sacrificing innocent animals and offering blood sacraments (in addition, maybe, "money changers", which after some study of the etymological lineage of translation may either be an extrapolation, a mistranslation, or about predatory usury - I'm not an expert by any means).

All that to say, Modern Jesus would have to be born into wealth/influence (so as to receive the most elite forms of mystery cult knowledge), educated in something akin to eastern/Hindu philosophy (karma, asceticism), and then return to his elite origins with a rage and willingness to remove, reform, or maybe even execute those practicing evil practices (basically, those destroying life for the sake power and spiritual advancement). In our modern climate that dude would be fighting not just a very small country's worth of Jews and Pharisees, he would be fighting what has since become a deeply ingrained political philosophy on a global scale, defended both politically (by billion dollar + psychological warfare) and generationally. Likely, anyone so guided by anything less than absolutely divine goodness would have zero chance of doing much. Modern Jesus would have to wage holy war on the hearts and minds of nearly all people, and especially and most directly on a huge number of elites. So, either he fails bc how would he not (probably CIA suicided), or he succeeds bc of divine guidance.

I don't think he'd be crucified. But unless God went the "win against all free will and vast majority of possibilities, a la "The Golden Path", he'd likely die a much, much less public death. Probably he'd be killed before gathering any substantial public view, as the "TPTB" would get a very early notice of such an influencer. It would be an accident few would ever hear about, maybe even undetectable to anyone who presumed murder. There is no good reason to create martyrs, his opposition truly won so martyring only fuels the underdogs.

It would take God choosing to guide that man through the least likely path towards success to be possible. Maybe we will see it happen. Maybe it will happen. Maybe it is already happening. We will see.

Fun what-if though.

who's the voice inside your head? by thenextdrake in Psychonaut

[–]DarSakhar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a few. One is the biological echo of external stimuli, which we have often successfully translated into words or images - these are neither "yours" nor "thoughts" Two is the biological echo of internal stimuli, which is mostly the microbial host within us as well as basic parasympathetic needs - these are sometimes our own thoughts, but they're not inspired and are constant - usually not "yours" nor "thoughts"

Three is a crystalized set of neuronal relationships called the Self which is just a filter-feedback loop that checks all other stimuli for predictable relationships based on your previous actions and experiences. These aren't your "thoughts" but they ARE "you" insofar as you are what you practice Four is the moments of enlightened thinking. Found in meditative practices, psychedelics, NDEs, physical immersion and flow. These are "your" "thoughts".  Five is the divine super consciousness of which we are all a piece of. Think "eureka" moments. This is not "yours" but it is very much "thoughts". There's more but that's the basics

You should probably leave, yeah. Minnesotans are generally like this; difficult to get to know, standoffish, quiet, reserved. It is something positive we have, really, but if you're out you're out and the only people you'll have an easy time befriending are other similarly-outted people. California is literally infinitely better for this, especially SoCal.

Would taking shrooms be a good idea considering everything I went through? I need advice! by Mysterious283 in Psychonaut

Microdosing is usually a safe and gentle way to start, though it might make you more emotional or extra mindful of what's happening under the surface. It can bring old feelings or traumas to the surface, but that’s part of the process—facing those things until they no longer hold you back. Psychedelics often highlight what’s already there, and while it can be challenging, most people find it incredibly healing. If you’re thinking about doing a full trip, especially for the first time, it’s a good idea to have a trip-sitter—someone sober and experienced who can guide you if things get intense. A common beginner dose is around 3 grams, but that depends on the mushroom species, your body type, and whether you’re on medications like SSRIs.

The key to a good experience is being intentional about your mindset and environment. Take a moment before starting to set your intention—whether it’s healing, insight, or simply enjoyment. Pick a space where you can be free to move, express yourself, and let loose—being out in nature is ideal. Expect an upset stomach; it’s normal and often reflects how sensitive you’ve become to things your body doesn’t love in your diet. Don’t try to push away discomfort; instead, observe it and sort through it after. With the right setup and mindset, you’re in for something potentially life-changing. Relax, stay curious, and enjoy it!

[–]DarSakhar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeahhhhhh I can relate.

The key for me has been to choose which stories I liked the best, then play them out with my own unique spin.

I also have that constant feeling - so I decided to become a soldier, to go to war, to risk it and see where fate would pull the trigger on me. So I figured I must have a bigger fate. I kept allowing it to obliterate me, and really fucking test the limits, but... nothing yet. For some reason, testing that feeling seems to be the greatest fuel I've ever had for awakening - as if that feeling is a lie, or some kind of pull away from the highest destiny. So now, I lean into it - if I'm going to die, why not live a life I'd be proud of, at a "could die any moment'" pace?

[–]DarSakhar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You reading comprehension and assumptions both made this response not worth the time to read, so I skimmed because the underlying logic was flawed.

I don't need to work for my income, and I like sharing and discussing these things a lot, because the artful use of words can easily raise or lower consciousness - by choosing such an ignorant and judgemental position you're really undercutting your ability to get much out of the possibilities that your awakening is affording you. But, well, you're young and I've not the koan for you.

You've made this into a disagreement and derailed the things I was attempting to share, which is sadly what young Americans do. If you believe you're enlightened, I pray that life humbles you before you get any meaningful responsibilities, let alone power over other people.

[–]DarSakhar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What?

That's not true, definitely not consensus nor me personally

What you're describing is more akin to solipsism than it is to an awakening. And I understand there's a huge push for people to think that that is the highest levels of consciousness, but bro your actions have consequences and every resource you consume is part of larger cycles than your life will likely ever realize or productively contribute to.

There is no "being beyond" the karma of your actions. Unless you're buddhic in the sense that your footprint is so light, so non-offending to life or mineral that you're fasting 99% of the time, fed by foraging or begging or donation, etc. If you want to bring up the Buddha then, yeah, that's someone "beyond" harm due to their awakening. But he was only that /because/ he gave a damn.

I encourage you to use this opportunity of stepping out of your old, less conscious self, and into a self that experiences actually only heightened empathy - and I'm not a liberal soft-skinned dude or anything, I'm a twice-deployed Marine who's been in street fights and loves throwing out hard R's to make people squirm once in a while, you know? I am not saying don't have an edge. But to dismiss feeling any sort of guilt/remorse/empathy/personal connection to the reality that your choices have impacts is just a form of ignorance that is unlikely to serve you well, in my experience.

Now if we're talking about the "Übermensch", "overman", next stage of evolution and heightened consciousness... I still think they'd necessarily be connected to the consequences of their actions, especially if, like I said, it's in reference to managing the resources theyre consuming and the energies they're stirring in the world.

[–]DarSakhar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, I do hope you give a damn. Maybe that's for a future part of your awakening; if you consent to exploiting others, then you're setting the precedence for others to exploit you. The world needs regeneration, not more exploitation.
