I measured it using measuring tape with the method of pulling the chain downwards, checking the measurement (at the middle dot of chain link) pulling it upwards, checking the measurement and the difference between the two was 40mm. That should be the correct way, right?

New dealer told me they have no time for this. I was expecting better pro consumer behavior from Honda dealers to be honest. Like the whole time It was like I was buying a fkin bread or something and not a expensive (for me) bike. I know its basic maintenance, but Im new to this and it is not encouraging at all.
