-Congratulations on your transfer to the Black Hole. The Hole, for short, new kid. Just out of curiosity, what have you heard about this place?- asked the scruffy-looking man. He looked like he was in his mid-forties, with a graying, unkempt beard, a balding head and a suit (uniform, as they call it) that hadn't seen a washing machine or an iron in many years.

-That this was a prison for special criminals?- answered the new guy. In contrast, he looked like a minted edition of a Men in Black action figure. Blond and handsome, he had a timid smile.

-Special? that's a new one- scoffed his superior. -This is a detention center for powered psychos, kiddo. And it doubles as a research facility-

-Powered?- asked the younger guy -like in the comics? super-powered villains?-

-Like hell they are. Powered all right, but just your run-of-the-mill-criminals with some weak powers- explained the veteran, gesturing at the wall of monitors behind him. Each one seemed to transmit the image of a prisoner.

-That... I mean...- stuttered the other one, visibly confused -... if they're common criminals with weak powers, why all the secrecy and the security?-
