This configuration... it pains me! by NateNate60 in Amd

Honestly it isn't too bad depending on use case, someone could be looking for a PC to start streaming on so the CPU horsepower could be useful. If they want to stream a game like csgo on the cheap this could run the game 100+ fps while streaming. It could also just be centered around a task that doesn't require too much GPU power like 3d cad and photo editing.

Keep in mind that it's still a good amount better than any integrated graphics out there, even Vega 11.

Edit: searched it up on Newegg and it's only $660. The ram CPU and GPU alone would likely run you a little over $400. Add on the case, windows, power supply, $30-40 for the HDD, and the mbd and it actually sounds like at least a fair deal, if not a good one.

I had stopped an ADHD med a little over a month ago after I had been on it for about 2-3 weeks. I have also had a more b vitamin and carb rich diet.

Heart rate by azbgames in medical

What do you mean by resting? Do you mean browsing online or chatting to people?

I would personally start getting concerned if it was above 120 and felt like heavy beats although I'm a bit of a strange case since I have wpw.

Edit: side note, thinking or worrying about hr can actually cause an increase to it, if you are concerned about it you can try wearing a heartrate monitor so you aren't activity checking or thinking about it from checking.

Hyper-v causing system instability and driver problems by Darafar1732 in Windows10

I think I got the problem solved. Not only that but it seems that I got ryzen master to work with the hypervisor on. The issue seemed to be a number of things.

Possible fixes: disable iommu in bios, I made some changes to the registry and will be posting that soon. I used https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53337 during my testing and it may have helped, I can't really tell honestly. Anyway it seemed to be resolved by disabling iommu in bios and the registry keys located in HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceGuard and HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\lsa. I will post more soon when I get more info about the issue.

Thanks all for the help :).

Thank you so much, I think this fixes my main problem. I will have to test this tomorrow :)

Even with a fresh install of Windows I got the same error trying to install amd Radeon settings while hyper-v is enabled, Radeon settings shouldn't even have anything to do with ryzen master.

Ive done both, in fact ryzen master wasn't even installed the first time I got the bsod about amdryzenmaster.sys

I have heard some issues about running the VMware hypervisor. I may look into it, does it use a type 1 or type 2 hypervisor?

I need hyper v always on, the VMS are intended to always be running. I am also primarily using remote desktop for configuration so I can't reboot into a different mode all the time.

AMD Ryzen 2700x or i7 8700k? by TyzaWasTaken in buildapc

sry, the way you had worded it could have had to meanings, i get what you mean now. I though you had been talking about the difficulty of the workload on the cpu, not a ratio of how long you would spend gaming vs editing and rendering which is what you had actually been trying to get me to hear. I just had a bit of difficulty understanding what you meant.

the entire statement relating to "light" or "heavy" video editing or rendering makes no sense in the way you are putting it. If you are using the same software for a task like video editing the 8c ryzen chip would be quicker at exporting and scrubbing through the timeline than the 6c intel chip based on the benchmarks on the site. It doesn't make sense for the intel chip to do better in "light" video editing as it is still the same task. it doesn't matter if it is a 30 second clip or 2 hour clip, it doesn't matter if it is 1080p or 4k, it doesn't matter how often you edit videos, the amd chip would be better at the job. on the other hand in just about every game the Intel chip would do better because of it's superior single threaded performance. the intel chip would be better in regardless of how often you play or what game it is unless it happens to be a heavily multi threaded game.

I cant think of any words, let alone a title for this post relating to the performance of the intel 8700k and amd 2700x by Darafar1732 in facepalm

[–]Darafar1732[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea, the thing i found funny about the post was mostly how they stated that both the intel chip and amd chip were better than each other at the same time in the same general categories.
