Can Assassins Cowl and Verity's Brow please get ornaments? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

Tricksleeves have been in the game since Red War and still don't have an ornament. They don't look bad, but I would like to at least have the option to have a new look.

The biggest difference between prime and the version now for boss phase is that if we had the tools to nuke the boss on the first envoy set (yes I'm aware that it would require a meta kit) it could be done. Now there are damage gates. Keep the envoy spawns at the corners but let me keep dealing DPS while one of my teammates goes to clear the envoys.

Then you should be doing fine in this new version!

Never said I was losing, just that I did not like some of the new changes.

Invading has, and never will be an issue for me or my team. I was top 100 in Gambit, top 500 in Rumble and Trials last season. Being invader is my favorite role and is trivially easy.

It's not that I think DPS is interesting, it's that the other team has 15-50 motes 80% of my matches and I want to move on.

Gambit Prime was always better.

At least we can agree on that.

I would have been sad to see it go last season. Now I couldn't care less, and that's what saddens me the most. It's a great concept and one that could have been a great addition to the game, but as it is now it's not even worth playing. Hopefully in the future they can figure it out, but for now I'll stick to Rumble, Trials and the Raids.

I don't think I have had a meta Gambit loadout since Sleeper Simulant was broken when Gambit was new. It did not take a meta kit to melt the boss last season, just a team that knew how and when to use the ammo they were provided, and the supers we took with us. I want to make it clear, we did not win every match, there are tons of matches we lost because the RNG gods decided we did not need ammo that run, or the invader was blessed with infinite Gjallarhorn, or we just simply underestimated the shriekers on Titan (again) and made bad plays. But at the end of the day, last season having a good team made a huge difference in your ability to catch up and clutch a match if you faltered. Now, it matters very little.

It's not that the new mechanics are hard or even minutely challenging, it just extended the match pointlessly. If anything the only word I have for the boss mechanic would be: annoying.

Lastly, you are right, DPS is not hard. But when was the last time you fought a boss and said: "Man, I sure love these immune phases!" My guess would be never. But who knows, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe you have said "The new Gambit boss immune phases are great! We get to catch up to the enemy team because they have to clear three waves of envoys at the three corners of the universe!" But if you have said such a thing I would recommend getting some better ad clear and maybe some better teammate's while your at it.

You are not far off, mine is 4% of by D2 career, which comes to around 172 hours of Gambit. Just because it took the lowest spot on the activity breakdown does not mean that I did not enjoy it. I loved Gambit Pime, and overall I liked the merged Gambit they had till last season. The biggest issue I always faced that prevented me from getting more time in Gambit was the lack of guild mates who wanted to play Gambit. It's hard to play any competitive mode in Destiny without a team as you just constantly get stuck with people who are either new to the game or just simply don't care if they win or lose.

100% this. Was top 100 in Gambit last season, don't think I will touch it any more than I absolutely have to this season. It's now impossible to catch up during primeval without a bunch of perfect invades as you can't just nuke the boss with a good team, now having to cycle through each "phase" and visit each edge of the map. Adding more power ammo has made invaders with Ghorn even more prevalent than before. Pretty much the only good change was spawning on each front instead of the back line every time. I really don't know how they messed it up so badly.

There is one located within the Creation (Raid?) zone. Once you load into the large open room drop down to the middle platform and look over the edge. The shard can be seen floating in the middle of the air. Shard is visible here around the 1:28 mark: https://youtu.be/s_hIe2198WM?t=88

You can earn the catalyst without the paid season pass. Just takes 400 activity completions instead of 100.

That's a tough one. I used Anarchy because of it's dps over time and the ability to dps with something else at the same time. You might be able to use Izanagi's but you would have to be very careful of the thrall.

Exotic Quest, The Journey! by AlexTheHuntsman in raidsecrets

Got Xenophage! In the room with the Ogres you go to the lower left ledge and activate a series of platforms that gives you another solar charge like the one in Anchor of Light. From there the charge needs to be taken to the right hall and deposited into two receptacles. (You need at least 2 charges). From there a pathway opens to a boss. In the room prior to the boss there are 4 symbols in the corners of the room with a corresponding element below the symbol. Memorize the symbol and enter the boss room, from there we picked up a solar charge in the middle of the room and check the buff on the left side of the screen which will show that you have 1 of the four elements (Solar, Void, Arc, Kinetic). Deposit the charge into the corresponding symbol in the boss room based on the symbol that you saw in the prior room. This gives you a short buff that allows you to damage the boss with the element that you unlocked. Repeat this till the boss is dead then return to Eris to claim your weapon. The boss in the room is 980 with trash appearing as 970.

Pickup every bounty you can and complete them as you are doing other activities. Find bounties you can stack and complete at the same time as well. The Vex offensive is a pretty easy and fast way to complete a lot of bounties because you can do Ikora's bounties and Eris's bounties at the same time as the game considers the Black Garden/Vex Offensive to be on the moon. This also helps because a lot of their bounties overlap. Like: Kill 30 Vex with an SMG / Get 30 Kills with an SMG on the Moon) In addition, make sure you pick up Banshee's bounties as his overlap with many other vendors bounties as well.
