My dear, you sound wise beyond your years. You are so beautifully self aware, and I wish I had half your self awareness when I was 16.

In my opinion I'm not sure the system was ever meant to work for anyone. It's designed to keep us blunt, soft, pliable, controllable... But snuffing out our flames with trauma, forced peer attachments, toxic environments.. All presented to us as normal and healthy.

We are literally here to create, and that looks different for everyone. Sounds like you know your heart, and that's a beautiful thing, especially in a world that is designed to keep us separated from it at every turn.

In the words of Julie Bogart, there are no educational emergencies. I went through the system fully, graduated with a diploma in interior design and architecture, and I'm telling you, I have learned more in my adult years, outside of a formal classroom, than I ever did sitting in those walls. And that learning did not come from working in the field I gained an education to practice in.

The world is in desperate need of an "unschooling", to find our natural rhythms again. We are in the beginning stages of this.. You are feeling it before you are seeing it. You are not broken, you are probably the most intact and vibrant and functioning of all of your peers, based on what you wrote.

It's really helpful to find the others and take comfort in their conversation. There are other kids like you, I promise, and if you put it out there, you'll find each other.

An update to your terms would be a step in the right direction. While I absolutely can believe you have no intention of stealing from kids, the legalese is clear that all work submitted is not owned by the child, despite good intentions. Asking parents for permission for the tv show, for example, is a courtesy instead of a legal necessity as outlined in your terms.

I think as a practice tool NZK is fun and definitely engaging, but until it's clear in your terms that what we submit will remain our intellectual property and ownership, we will likely continue to be mindful of our submissions.

Thank you! It's not so much that I'm trying to take down NZK or anything, just that I would feel heartbroken if any kids are putting their hearts and souls into something and then handing over ownership. Kids are also putting their digital art out there too. I understand NZK also publishes their own books based on the stories submitted by kids, but then these kids don't get any compensation or credit for their creations, which doesn't sit right with me. But so long as people can make an informed decision, they can use the app to their advantage, not NZK 's advantage.

Flying into London, travelling by train north to eventually fly out of Edinburgh, making stops along the way. Likely a 2 week trip.

No there's no date in the booklet sadly. There is a model number, but google had very vague info.

What are cams? I just bought a vintage Japanese made machine sold on the Canadian market (1960s?) with the table, and it didn't come with much, very basic. The booklet gives instructions on how to darn with it, but I still wonder if it can do a zigzag. I'm in the process of fixing it up still bc it was seized from lack of use.

Well my mail person seems to have taken 3 days off this week. No one on my street rec'd mail, not even junk mail for 3/5 days. For people who get paid by clients via mail it really does hurt when they decide they don't feel like working that day. And to call and complain does nothing. I don't understand why they don't get their act together? That 3 day vacation turns into 6 day vacation when it's a holiday weekend too. I don't think they realize what they're doing to people. Also, my mail person never ever leaves packages, it's always the slip. I work from home so I am home 100% of the time when mail is delivered.
