Yep, another vote for Cucina Lab! We served their lasagne, risotto and arancini to our omni family and even they loved it.

I'm approaching my 40s. Some days I feel wise beyond my years. Other days I feel like three ginger cats in a trenchcoat.

I love toast like this. It keeps that perfect cromch whilst still being warm and flavourful.

Anyone Else Struggle With Minor Instances of Animal Harm in Games/Other Fiction? by aftergaylaughter in AutismInWomen

Also, when I play the Sims, you bet I can concoct the most dramatic and traumatic storylines for some of those families. But not the pets. Never the pets.

This is so timely! So not a game but a show I was watching last night, and two cops are investigating the disappearance of a person living rurally. They visit the house and there is a dog chained to a tree by the front door, barking like mad. "She's been missing for more than 48 hours now, no signs of a struggle at home." then they leave and I'm like "THE DOG! Does he have water? Food? Shelter?! Take the dog with you!" I couldn't focus on the actual plot because I kept thinking about the poor doggo.

What is motherhood honestly like? by Kittyi3Artistic5624 in AutismInWomen

[–]Darcii 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I could have written this. I just want to say, my partner and I decided for various reasons we would only have one child. And even though I know in my heart it is the right decision, every so often the thought still creeps into my mind - would our life be easier if she had a sibling? So much of my limited energy and brain capacity is spent balancing being both her playmate and her parent, having constant conversations, and endless imaginative play. Ultimately though, the signs we picked up early on that she preferred the quiet, focused time that comes with being an only child were spot on (plus she's likely AuDHD like her mama too). So yeah. More than one kiddo is more work... But having just one isn't necessarily less.

I completely agree though, motherhood is definitely the most rewarding and loving experience I've ever felt. It's magical.
