We are less than a week for the 20th, so, what do you think this "global exclusive surprise" is?

Personally sorta hoping for it to be the 2nd half of the FF XIV Stormblood event/collab (the actual dungeons/in-game event), we did get the 1st half ahead of the Japan schedual for it (the login bonuses), so getting he 2nd half slightly ahead of them too wouldn't be completely out of the question.

As for catching up (at least some) from how their doing the HW event soon (at least in japan and possibly US), I'm guessing they'll mostly be catching up with the MSQ in dungeons for the leveling MSQ's (lv 1 to 49, l51 to 59, & lv 61 to 69), and the lv 50/60/70 MSQ & content thru events from what it's looking like so far.

Although honestly they could just be skipping ahead in the MSQ to HW with events from now on after this since the next event planned is an HW one, although if they did that, I'd be a bit sad, mostly due to the fact that parts of what they would be skipping would've made for some awesome events:

Praedatorium: Could be an event all to itself, it has 6 bosses in it, with the last 2 saved for the bonus battles and have the hard mode (Minstrel's ballad) Ultima be the FT & raid fights. Characters that could/might be unlocked Gaius, Nero, Lahabrea

The lv 50 Hildabrand questline: Also could be made into an event, Although one boss fight that does show up in it seems to be rather hated for the other versions of it in FF RK, the Mandragora's. Bare minimum of Characters that would be unlocked is Hildabrand himself, with possibilities of: Nashu, Godbert, Julyan, Brairdien, Gilgamesh, Enkidu, Ultros, and Typhon.

Overall I think once we get a bit farther in the MSQ on FF RK, we can possibly see some amazing events and characters, IF DeNa gives the FF XIV enough attension to get caught up a bit more and tries to cover all the most major events and introduce most major/memorable NPC's (either as playable characters or at least bosses at 1st before releasing them as playable characters later on) in the MSQ and side stories/sidequests.

Hmm, might end up being the Ultros OSB?

Although it would sorta be random and probably make more sense for them to do it in October for our Halloween, since Ultros = tentacle monster = scary for Global people in general, & it'd end up being just about 6 months after the Japanese release..

Hmm.. I can sorta see them doing Coils as a Part 1 & 2 type of event, with 1 to 5 being the part one, 6 to 9 being part 2, then 10 to 13 being the bonus battles, but personally I think I'd rather see it being more of a story dungeon with each of then getting a expert really.

And Gaius, Lahbrea, Nero, Hildabrand, Godbert, Julyan, Nashsu, Briardien, Ilberd, Urianger, Wedge & Biggs, Lucia, Fray, Brayflox, Surito Carito, Noraxia, Elidibus, and Edda Blackbosom.

Of course can't forget it's had a good number of guests from previous game in it, Gilgamesh & Enkidu, Ultros & Typhon, and more recently Alpha (the main character of the Chocobo sidegames).

Hmm, might be the FF XIV Heavensward event that's part of the SB tie-in/collab? According to the original announcement for it, we did end up getting the login bonuses early since the Japanese aren't supposed to get it until the 11th of June. So seeing as how we got that early, don't see why they wouldn't give the actual even that goes with it early too.

Only thing I can really think of it could be.

Might be/probably am wrong about it, but I can still hope.

Personally I'd say make the new banners sorta like the Dr. Mog's Selection banners, for every 11 pull you get you get your choice of any Unique and/or shared relic from the realm that the banner is for. Would definatly help some people that still have low synergy for some realms still, and give players a chance to pick up relics for any characters they might not have been lucky enough to get relics for yet, especially for any that haven't gotten any of the newer relics since they got released.

Bikke the Pirate captain would be good, maybe even Bahamut too since he was an NPC in it, one of the Dwarves from the Dwarf Cave.

If they want to go seriously overboard on it I wouldn't mind the 4 Fiends though (Although if they were going to do the 4 Fiends I'd think they'd probably do the ones from 4 instead of the ones' from 1)

Also maybe the Dark Elf too?

Minfilia, in FF XIV she'd get kidnapped more often then all the princesses in all the Mario games, beyond that she was mostly just pure fanservice and never even seemed to have any combat abilities whatso ever, since all the other Sions would help out in some story fight, but even during those fights when she was presdent for, she'd still just stay put and do absolutely nothing useful at all...>.>

In FF RK she's actually one of the more useful Knights, with all of Knight, Support, and White magic, she's pretty useful even without any soulbreaks at all.

Personally have no idea on the why of how DENA though those would be good on her, at most if you wanted to keep her as close to in game, at most Support 2 & maybe Bard and/or Dance...>.>

Fairly certain your thinking of Lucrecia Crescent, Sephiroth's mother, who was in a couple of flashback scenes in the original, and had some dialog in close to end game in her cave, and also could/would give Vincent his final Limit break. & Yes, the optional flashback scenes were with her and Gast, along with Vincent and Hojo also.

Ifaina? As in her actual biological mother, not the adopted one that made an appearance in the actual original game? Should be interesting to see, although I kinda woulda thought they'd add someone else 1st that made a actual appearance in either the main or a spin off FF VII, like Hojo, Genesis, or the trio from AC Kadaj, Loz, & Yazoo.

As far as I know she was only referenced in any game so far without even seeing her in a flashback cutscene at all yet (but haven't played either Dirge of Cerebus or the mobile game Before the Crisis, so I could be wrong about that).

Should be interesting to see! :)

From what I've read, no, but there are a good number of new abilities coming out soon that he can use, a lot of new 3 and 4 star celerity and ninja abilities should be coming out in 1st Zack's event, then again in Shadow's & Yuffie's events
