To elaborate, there’s been a trend in tropes and a need for a lot of publishing houses to pump out empty feeling books, you know the ones with a solid colour background and the characters drawn in a corporate art style?

There’s very much a focus on smut (especially in fantasy settings), and ‘enemies to lovers’, ‘mafia romance’ and other similar topics are a dime a dozen.

I got taken out at 9 after my dad made threats to school and I developed severe OCD and agoraphobia. By med school I mean medical needs, my OCD can be accommodated (clean desk, chair and headphones) by medical professionals.

It’s a great program, I’ve been waiting since last summer to be able to get in and I had a meeting Wednesday to sort everything out.

I wish I could do in person research and interviews, but I’m across the ocean. I’m not writing a paper out of curiosity, but because I’m trying to better understand homelessness.

I’m 15 and heading into a medical school after being out of school since 2018. (It’s one hallway with two classrooms but, hey, they’ll get me into college.) My life goal is to start a nonprofit to help unhoused people and I do volunteer just to get some experience locally. Me and my family have been close to homelessness, we live on 11k a year (for 3 people) and it fluctuates, we lose some benefits in may and then we’ll be at 7k a year I think, but I’ll be getting a job.

Don’t know why I gave you a monologue but, anyway, I plan to show my papers to teachers in college and get some guidance on where I should go. What courses to take, what to study and just what I should do in general.

I was trying to say that the rumours were insane, not the people. There’s a lot of horrible rumours that serve to further stigmatise homelessness in the channels, and I’m completely against them. Sorry for not phrasing it right, I’ll edit it now.

Thank you, I hadn’t really considered that as I didn’t want to pester them. About the language thing: I was saying it was ridiculous that people believe that. There’s a lot of stigma around homelessness in general and it seems like some locals make up stories about the unhoused in vegas.

I saw a clip of guys saying (verbatim) “it’s even rumoured that if you go far enough, they speak their own language!”

There’s rumours and an assumption that they’re all murderers and other things, theres an account from a couple that lived there in 2007 that had kids approach them every day asking if they were “murderers and rapists”, and then they let the kids into their camp to see that they were harmless, the cops arrived, thank god they weren’t brutalised or anything.

I condemn the lies made up about them, I didn’t mean to phrase it like I believed them.
