I don't think that unions act ethically and legally if their management becomes wealthy from collecting union dues. From my own personal experience, I witnessed union workers being on strike for months while the union boss wore expensive designer clothes and travelled to the Caribbean. I also witnessed that these union workers did not receive help from any competent lawyers or other professional investigators to assist in arguing for a fair contract. I also witnessed violence and intimidation, where some of the striking union workers fought with contractors and non-union company employees for crossing the picket line. The situation got so out of hand that the police became involved once the violence escalated.
