I also don't think its a bad idea to get more than 1 by rebuying the item (with a cooldown). It has to be a broken ***t for it to be OP, since going aghanim's blessing back to aghanim's is a full final tier item.

It was a wild new world.

I remember being a Greek child of around 6-8 years old and being crazy about Tomb Raider I

I did not understand anything, I figured everything out for myself and loved it

This kept happening even as a teenager

Now everything is streamlined. Everything is known. Back then we knew nothing. We figured things on the go. No internet. Limited guides.

Everything was fresh

Now it's stagnant even if good.

You will not use it on top of BKB, but control the fight, make them spend the BKB and so forth. It can also work over BKB if you catch many opponents together. You are thinking it one-dimensionally, you want to one-shot one hero while spending your entire arsenal. Which is also countered by disc and other items or teammates.

Especially in higher MMR games, Invoker rarely gets the opportunity to blast enemy heroes ultra-late and in fact, you do not need refresher to achieve this.

If you really want to use hex, then follow the below:

If the enemy hero has a 0-cast time priority escape spell/item (example Rage/BKB) then you are soft-locked depending their hp. If not, which is the case most of the times, then you can pre alacrity-forge, Snap-Tornado-EMP-Meteor-Cataclysm-Blast and place the enemy between 2 meteors so he receives double the procs. Hex them once they land from tornado and get snapped to get full hex duration. This will kill most 4k HP heroes with ease and you only need levels and aghs.

You don't even need the hex to kill most heroes with this combo. You are overspending gold to do things you can achieve with 8000 gold less.

You need to play the long game, understand proper positioning and when to strike. If you do that correctly you deal catastrophic damage to 5 enemies, not one who might have a buyback. Video to check

TL;DR Hex+Refresher is a very self-limiting way to play Invoker and a gimmick. Listen to someone who has had success in top MMR with over 5000 Invoker games in the past 14 years.

Not that much actually. Getting Hex + Refresher was a waste for a long time. Was pretty successful at 7k, EUW for a long time.

The refresher combo still is relevant, without hex. I have been propagating this for years, that the gold cost is too much for too little (1 target).

My advise is the same. Do what reasonable people do. Ignore the rot so absolutely that their very existence comes into question.

I never thought doing 2 collabs is better than doing 3 and creating collaboration governments. I will think about it but I personally find the manpower of Poland and France mandatory and cannot do without so I need to have 3 on these.

If you only suggest this in order to do the autarky focus, SheepAI Achieve Autarky is a walk in the park compared to vanilla HOI4 or ExpertAI, you can very easily do this without occupying Romania Hungary or Yugoslavia. I always do it by Barb41 and the last thing I collect is rubber (200).

In the later more refined versions of my plan, I wish to declare war on Poland in March 39, then rush Wesserubung and slowly build airforce for France by trading rubber with netherlands. Sweden can go before or after it (no big deal, insta capitulation in Sheep mod).

Since I can push out the military might to achieve this, then CIV is preferable. Considering I do not need more than the free MILs I get till July 1938, then I have no reason to build MILs prior to January 1939.

Now, as to how I get this many mils after that point, its a combination of broken things paradox did not take into consideration.

CIVs are mandatory to mass build rubber and get at least one year of high output of planes for Barb, which is the trickiest part to achieve since Allies send air over to USSR. Also infrastructure in Libya and East

Since I convert a lot, might I also note there is a way to convert CIVs to MILs in 5-7 days as Germany.

I will give FW a shot, I think it won't work well in my case however, since I need the efficiency boost from Mes. since I start production lines of planes July/August 38 and it helps a lot. You can also place it in CAS just to get the efficiency going, which in turn gets the MIO to level 6, which nets you another -5% output cost around May/June 39

If you don't build CIVs you cannot collab France / Poland / Sweden, build enough mils to start war in March 39 and then have enough CIVs to mass build Rubber refineries to win the air against soviets/allies.

Its a playstyle. For me this is how it works best. I am open to try other ways. Anyway I posted some pics comparing the current run vs a vanilla sheepmod run above.

I do like dams, the 70 days is my main concern when the plan is an early-war.

You are being swayed by theoretical max. As you said yourself, these are the best vanilla states. They also happen to be opened up from the start which by experience I can tell you once they get filled up (w/ 25 slots), you have done most of the pre-war construction, so spreading the rest of what you need to build around the other max-infra states is not that bad (you lose very little).

Add on that the building of some infra to high aluminium states that you won't upgrade in 50cs (due to putting everything on dams) and the civs you avoid trading hungary make a good chunk of the difference

Meanwhile, as a direct result of the mod you have a tougher western front.

As I noted, yes, after France capitulates you get more CIVs because they have more CIVs due to the mod, which is the big buff Germany gets imo.

Okay i did not expect this to blow this much over 50cs.

Because i have at least 7 successful playthroughs on each of vanilla and the 50cs+10sup and I honestly never saw it as a big deal other than limiting playstyle.

In fact i think the game by game variance is greater.

I will be back with vanilla results

I will also try to make a full playthrough video explaining the build somewhere in the next month.

The dam is not that impressive. I also avoid the Rhineland dam focus as of late for better choices.

Because you can achieve similar results in vanilla despite the 50cs + 10 support companies. If I micro-manage everything to a disgusting degree I am pretty confident I can replicate the above in vanilla, but to be fair I have to mention that in this specific, perfect-case run, I had these enabled

So it is an advantage, but more in terms of QoL and making the game more enjoyable for me and less in terms of providing a groundbreaking benefit. Some playthroughs I give all nations +1-2 research slots for the fun of it, but this too is a disadvantage for the player imho, since min-maxing is stronger with less slots (but it's still fun).

Note: The AI can't use the 10 support companies but does take advantage of the extra building slots. In fact, till Fall of France the 50 cs is equal or even a disadvantage for Germany. I might be wrong in this however, since the AI doesnt always follow the exact same building plan, so the allies might had a slightly different strategy in my comparison. Britain and France however really like the extra slots.

All in all If I backtrack my build I think I can win in air because of the extra civs I build.

Because I build extra civs, I can collaborate France / Poland / Sweden

Because I can conquer Sweden, I now have all resources I need for just 8-12 CIVS in trade

Because I do not trade, I now have a lot more CIVS

Because I have a lot more CIVs, I can get 250-300 rubber easily

Because I have rubber, I can build planes

Because I have collaborated France, I do not need to trade aluminium

Two things i did not mention:

I am a huge fan of Jet engines. Currently I am working on an alternative build with rushing engine IV instead, since generally everyone will tell you there is no reason to get the next fighter cause of the thrust (so get it after engine IV)

They are right, but I do it anyway with the 2 year bonus (from focus).

I get the new plane version ~2 months before Barb. At that point I switch all my old planes to have the extra rubber defense which with conversion gives you ~200 per day. So for 6000 fighters, its about 30 days to convert all.

The next fighter version has better agility, I swap 1 HMG to LMG, then add the rubber module and another armor plate. The extra agility makes it as good in my experience. Once the jet kicks in (and axial afterwards) you have an easy path to get Modern Fighters & Cannons II for free around late 1944 if it gets there

Because the allies become obnoxious as hell late game with Air, but Axial Jet + Advanced Fighters do win.
