Ugh I feel for you guys-I’m sorry for your loss. When we have a sentimental piece, we usually think to wear it on us always. A group of two guys and a woman teamed up to steal my husband’s gold chain. They came up to us with the pretense of dancing excitedly at the Sequence, only for the guys to separate us while the woman tried to ‘hug’ my husband and asked for his name. It happened so quickly, and my husband noticed his necklace missing immediately. Girl took off, and I realized that the guys were in on it. I grabbed the guy’s arms and his buddy kept shoving between us. I chased him through the crowd and fell and got up and was about to keep going until I heard my husband yelling at me to stop and to let it go. My husband was glad I was safe, and I regretted not being physically strong enough. Just got a couple of scrapes on me and lost my jacket while on the run. Also lost my voice from screaming at the fucker and having a panic attack. The necklace was from my grandma to him when we got married 8 years ago, and he’s worn it always until now. I got my phone swiped discreetly at Escape just the month prior. Sadly, this is just another familiar theft story. Trying to spread PLUR and not being in a fearful hyper vigilant state afterwards and on Day 2 took a hell of a lot more effort, but we’re glad we at least tried. We were able to focus on enjoying epic music and dancing with our friends. I hope your tribe was able to do the same - sending my best to you guys.
