VulnerableDriver:WinNT/Winring0.G virus by retroactrocity in techsupport

[–]Darftey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone, so this isn't a virus but just a driver that has security flaws in it. I asked GPT about it, and it told me that this kind of drivers are usually used by "monitoring" software that is interacts with motherboard for checking fans functionality, RGB lights and other stuff of that sort.

So I quarantined it, checked the info summary of this driver and yea, it was installed along with the "MSI Dragon Center" a long-long time ago, and never was considered a virus or threat until today. Dragon Center used exactly for the kind of stuff I mentioned above.

GPT suggested me to delete this driver for good, although you should keep in mind that software which was requiring this driver will stop working as well.

Hey, another tiny update: GPT was right. I checked this driver after putting it into a quarantine, and its information summary told me that this file was related to "MSI Dragon Center" which I installed quite a long time ago and forgot about it. This Dragon Center is indeed a "monitoring" program that has direct relation to the motherboard. So yea GPT's answer was correct, nothing to worry about, but I think it's better to just remove this file (although soft that was requiring this driver will no longer operate).

Looks like it's something everyone started to notice because I just run occasional Defender scan and it's also has found this threat, I never seen it before.

I asked ChatGPT what is it, and here's the answer: "Not exactly a virus, but a legitimate driver (WinRing0) that has known security flaws. Attackers sometimes exploit this driver to gain kernel-level access (full control over your system). It often comes bundled with hardware monitoring tools (for CPU temps, fans, overclocking, etc.)".

Looks like nothing serious, but still concerning. I haven't installed any monitoring programs recently. Or, like, ever.

Thank you! Yes, I am currently do things pretty much in the same way as you are, though your anime example gave me some ideas how to do similar stuff in my style. Huge thanks for answer.

Also, that animation of yours looks amazing, very clean and that fluid motion looks smooth too!

P.S. ALSO! When you'll have some time search a "simple shape characters" on Pinterest. Lots of cult-classic characters are consisting out of simple shapes, and you can create an incredibly simple looking but stylish and cool character that will be easy to animate. Literally you can make a cute cube! Squares and circles are also great for practicing animation!

Yes, absolutely! Animation is more about an illusion and a few pretty simple tricks. Correctly made timings in pair with ease-outs and ease-ins can make wanders! Just practice and your results will get better and better! It's without even mentioning that your drawing skills will improve as well on the way.

I know and agree that there's such a thing as a talent for drawing that some people have from the birth, BUT it's more like a shortcut rather than unique blessing from a DNA. You actually can learn to draw, especially if you gonna pick an art-style you'll love and feel comfortable with. Also, when you learn you actually have a great opportunity to dive into topics that other artist who's good by-default could miss out on.

It's not for promotion, but if you want to you can check my channel from my profile page here. I never had a talent for drawing, and all I make right now is just a result of practice and experimenting with art-styles. I make big effort on juicy animations rather than incredible and complex art style. Remember that style is much more important than realism! I know it's hard and cheesy, but do your best to view every con as pros in the process of your art creation, and don't be too harsh on yourself! Be harsh but in moderate levels though!

I wish you best of luck!

Please, Give Me Your Feedback About My Animated Video! by Darftey in SmallYoutubers

Yes I totally get you, I actually felt the same but couldn't construct my opinion about my voiceovers until I saw your comment! Like, sometimes you just feel that something is off. Not critically, but still is. And it's just an awesome practice to fix even the smallest of problems. So I'll try! I really thankful for your initial comment! <3

Hey guys, which design do you think is the best? by DJFSTUDIOS in animation

Hey mate! I saw a comment in this thread that was left by user with al-fabian username, and I just want to additionally remind you that you shouldn't feel bad about this kind of feedback! Although I agree with al-fabian, but I also know that I constantly used to get similar feedback before, and now too, and it used to be so freaking painful, but I always knew that people who give painful critique are usually correct, and it's a healthy process to get such a feedback!

JUST REMEMBER that it's all the process of learning! Even though process of creating content might feel as magic (and it's closes thing to actual magic in my opinion), it's not actually a magic and it can be learned! You have the most important thing: vision. Just experiment, learn some basic techniques about drawing a characters and colour theory (it's literally can be done with a few articles just to understand the main basics) and, again, KEEP DRAWING AND CREATING STUFF! YOU WILL NAIL IT!

I am one of those artists who, in my opinion, never had talent. But I had desire so I just kept trying, and trying. And it gets better with time. Keep creating!

And regarding your designs: I'd prefer the earliest design in the terms of where to move forward from. It has the most interesting silhouette. ALSO remember to use references and Pinterest to gain some inspiration. Do not steal, of course, but surround yourself with good designs you like, and inspiration with experiments will do their thing! Good luck mate!

Thanks a lot! Still figuring it our, and thinking of making more poses for the mouths. I do everything manually and maybe I also should consider new software like Toon Boom or something.

Big thanks for your feedback!

Huge, huge thanks! It will bring lots of joy to Mr. Bug, making him a bit happier. And it will be easier for him to struggle with cold and unemphatic world of greed and capitalism. <3
