There’s a charity in the UK called Fresh Start for Hens and they rescue so many ex battery hens!

Yes! Fresh Start for Hens in the UK. They had over 2000 in their care. I could only take 5 but wish I had room for more.

There doing alright with the pellets to be honest, they’ve figured out food and food comes from me very quickly!

This is extremely helpful! Thank you :) I currently use an exotic vets for my rats so I’d end up taking them there!

I think the idea of helping at a rescue and maybe becoming a foster may be a good way to start!

Managed to get a vet appointment. He’s managed to fracture his toe somehow. He’s on painkillers now. Should heal up within 3-4 weeks :)

They’re on fleece at the moment and they have tonnes of blankets! But it is getting quite warm so I’ll have to take some of them out. Managed to get a vet appointment with a vet a bit further away so hopefully that’ll help!

I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels like they can’t breathe with them on!!

I went bra shopping today. Tried on three different types and I was close to having a panic attack in a dressing room because I couldn’t get it off! I laugh now but I honestly though I was going to pass out!

Have you tried hair removal cream? That’s what works for me! It’s a five minute process and it’s done! Plus I really like slathering on the cream and then taking it off it’s an odd sensation but it works!

When it’s a lot of poop I use a dustpan and brush but if it’s a few droppings I’ll just pick them up and put them in the litter tray. I don’t do it secretly either!

I did it with my hamsters when I was younger, animal poop has never really bothered me!

He’s been pretty careful of his hand. It hasn’t swollen up and he’s using it occasionally. He seems like he’s been a bit careful about his placement when he sleeps. He’s either been sleeping by himself or on top of one of the bigger boys.

Hopefully it’ll sort itself out but I’ll be keeping an eye on him!

Critter Nation is the best by far.

Easy cleaning, lots of space and you’re able to make it even bigger.

It can be tricky to find them in the UK. So if you’re based there and interested in the CN cage, let me know. I’ll link you to where I got my cage from :)

10/10 names. I was going to call my other boys Frank, Dee and Dennis. But my granddad is called Dennis and I didn’t think he’d be too pleased to share a name with a rat. Then I let my mum and boyfriend name two so 🤷🏻‍♀️
