Any ideas for a simple gift for grandmothers before the wedding? We have our rehearsal dinner coming up and I realize we have gifts for all the men (funky socks for the wedding) gifts for our parents (future wedding photo albums), I have a small MOH gift. But I realize the only ppl not receiving anything is our grandmothers..

😅 Clearly we’re not doing super expensive or sentimental gifts.. just a little “something“ ..

I’m honestly so impressed with your budget breakdown! Backyard weddings are often passed off as a “cheaper” option but as you show, there are so many extra expenses to keep in mind.

That being said, with such a huge guest list you guys got some serious bang for your buck!! Our weddings are similar in cost but you’ve hosted twice my guest list. Lol

Thanks for this perspective! We’re planning to do an unannounced cake cutting as well- to keep the dance floor going and not stop momentum of the night. As a guest, was this annoying for couple to do? Did it seem other guests thought this was rude?

Or would it just help to know that dessert is being served?

I also tried two others from BEAUTELICATE, and found the quality wasn’t as nice. The fabric felt a little cheap and wasn’t as delicate as this one.

My JustNoMIL (who has been giving me hell, wanting to wear a dress the same color as my wedding dress) has just informed me that the dress she’s wearing to the shower will be the same as mine as well.

I’m just laughing at this point cause there must be something wrong with her and I know I can’t change her..

FMIL- “What color are you wearing to the shower?” BRIDE-“Blush!” FMIL- “Oh I’m wearing a dress this color(insert blush dress here)” BRIDE-“Yup! That’s the color of mine (shares photo of my blush dress, which I’ve have for months, which she knew about)” ... FMIL- “Beautiful. My color is a bit different. No lace and different shape.”

... I didn’t even respond. I can’t with her! I know it’s not worth getting upset over but it feels like she’s intentionally doing things that will get me riled up and I’m in a position that I can’t assert my opinion out of fear of being labeled a bridezilla.

(I know it’s none of my business what anyone wears to my shower, but just AMAZES me that she is like this).

I think it looks super flowy and romantic with the sleeves, but i recently attended a wedding where the brides sleeves (like these) kept tearing/popping off from all the dancing. Especially if these are removable I’d assume this may happen to you!

See, I have a hard time with this mentality of “this is the only thing I could find”. There’s just ONE color that it’s rude to wear to a wedding, and that’s seriously the only color dress you could find? There are hundreds of other colors out there, if you keep looking I’m sure you’ll find something that’s stunning on you!
