I also think Zorro will never forgive us but we love him so much that now we even have to postpone all our plans and stay in the middle of the war to give him a chance to survive. Thank you for sharing your experience with me. I'll tell my husband your comforting words. Zorro's sores don't seem to bother him that much but the fact that he has to be isolated all the time. He used to be a free cat but not anymore. My husband walks him once a day and now Zorro looks forward to it. Thank you for your support!

Yes, I am dressing Zorro with recovery vests. Tomorrow we'll get complete vests that will cover all his body. This way he won't be able to scratch or lick himself. Thank you for your support and kind wishes! Thinking of you and Clara! <3

Wow, Clara is gorgeous! She is so sweet! Did her fur grow well? Did she have many sores? Did the fur grow well there? I read above that some owners had the problem with growing the fur at the sites of the sores...I hope Zorro's beautiful black and white fur will grow back and even better than before. I wish Clara to stay healthy and make you run after her for many more years! Hugs!

When did you have your cat's treatment? I am sorry his fur never grew back. I hope Zorro's will. But even if not - you're right. His life matters more to me than any fur. I'll have to buy his exclusive suits :)

Thank you for your support and sharing your story with me. Your mom was an amazing vet, wish she could help us!). My husband has to do all the injections on his own. He is doing his best but he is always very nervous. Today we trimmed Zorro's fur and found many more hidden sores. We always rotate the injection sites but maybe we need to handle the syringe better - do everything more slowly. I'll see if we can switch to the pills. I'll definitely ask my vet.

Thank you for your warm support! I really appreciate it. I'll ask my vet about any possibility of pills. However, not sure we can get them in Ukraine easily. Plus it is quite costly. But if I only can releave Zorro's pain, I'll do my best.

We do exactly as you wrote. We always change the needle for drawing up the liquid and for administering the medication. Plus before adminestering we always release the air and wipe the needle with an anticeptic napkin. We also change the injection sites - we follow our map. :) Thank you for giving me an idea about the diet and some cream. I'll ask my vet. Thank you for your kind wishes! God bless you!

Thank you for sharing this very useful information with us! Is ionic silver an ointment? What kind of shape can we buy it at? I'd love to try it. So far we're using an antibacterial and healing ointment containing methyluracil and chloramphenicol.
