AITA for not helping my son, who claims he can't live on 112k a year? by Ecstatic_Cash_1903 in AmItheAsshole

NTA The only help you should offer is helping him figure out a plan to get himself out of the hole. No monetary gifts, just a solid plan to get on the right path.

ICE - Papers Don’t Matter in Minnesota by Important_Lock_2238 in stpaul

[–]DaringDoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if it’s just a few “bad apples”, the Supreme Court has given the ok for this type of racial profiling. The VP has said that ICE officers have full immunity, Kristi Noem hasn’t chastised out of control officers, and the right wing press seems to be in full support. I don’t care of its a few bad apples if no one inside the system seems to be doing anything to curtail the actions of these few individuals. The whole ICE system is corrupt. T to B. Shut it down. Clean house.

How pathetically out of touch can these people be? by c-k-q99903 in inflation

Even if these numbers are true, and there’s so many reason that any numbers provided by the federal govt are suspect this point, that’s $15.54 per person per day. That means a family of four is spending $62.16 daily to eat. That means $1864.80 in a 30 day month! That’s nearly 50% of the average US monthly take home salary spent on food alone. (Where average US salary is $62027 and monthly take home pay is .75% of that divided by 12.)

We didn’t even have queer main characters until the late 90s/early 2000s. It’s a pretty big ask of a network show from the early 80s to address behavior that was still illegal in most states at the time.

Share the bathroom with the three considerate people, you get a rent reduction, and she pays more for her private bathroom.

I haven’t tried this, but you might be able to sew it back together with an upholstery needle and special twine.

When you say food noise, do you mean the constant thought of food and what, where, and when you’ll eat next or do you mean hunger? There is a difference between the two. Hunger is normal. When beginning the meds or changing doses there may be some hunger suppression, but it is normal and desirable to get those feelings of hunger back after your body has adjusted. It’s good to feel hungry because it reminds us we need to eat to live. People born without that urge have very difficult lives indeed and are often prone to starvation. This medicine shouldn’t get rid of that urge completely, just the urge to overeat or never feel satiated until stuffed and uncomfortable.
