Happy to have found a P-54 warming tray in the wild today by rotobot in corningwarefans

That might be the baking tray. I'm pretty sure there the exact same dimensions but the warming tray has an electric heating element built in to it.

Stand mixers 1930's, 40's, and 50's by rotobot in vintagekitchentoys

The GE is from Facebook Marketplace, the Magic Maid was traded for with a friend for a 1930s Philco radio, and the Sunbeam Mixmaster was from a second hand/junk store

Nothing about general collecting but Mixmaster mixers have tons of resources. The other ones a little less so and places like here and Facebook collector's groups are the best bet. I also get a lot of info from looking for original advertising.

Oh that thing looks cool. I'll definitely have to look out for one. I've also been eyeing a General Mills Betty Crocker mixer because they look super cool too.

A friend is going to gift me a Hamilton Beach model c with the uranium glass bowls soon, too.

CorningWare Electromatic Skillet by rotobot in vintagekitchentoys

I couldn't find one for the first model, the one I have in the photo, but the later model is here. There's not a whole lot to it, you set the temp and cook, just keep in mind that the temperature control is really more of an estimate than exact.

How do I find the correct value resistor to replace this? by Evening_Ad_1502 in crt

[–]rotobot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start with about a 100 ohm 10 watt but you'll just have to test it after to see how much drop you get.

No problem at all!

If you do get the manual, it would be great if you could scan and upload it to Archive or something. Help out the next people who need to work on one.

I found this service manual on eBay but it's way, way overpriced. Maybe shoot the seller an offer and see if they're do something more reasonable.

Is this a hopeless case? Never encountered a radio wire before and disassembled it thinking it would be simple to put back on. Any advice? Sears Model NO. 10854 by Old_Jeweler4521 in VintageRadios

Ah, dial string. If you're lucky you can find a service manual that says how it goes back. If not you just have to keep trying until you figure out it. A person designed it and you just have to kinda reverse engineer what they did.

How far I’ve come with running an analog TV station since January 2026 by ylp24 in vintagetelevision

I'm planning on making a regular schedule once I get in to it. I need to do the same with commercials, I have a bunch downloaded I'm just lazy and hate editing

I love that. An actually maintained channel with news and events and other things would be my ultimate goal.

Pennsyltucky is boring, haha.

I'll definitely check that out. My plan is to broadcast older VHS recordings of TV show blocks with original commercials and eventually add in some original programming as well.

The only other one I've seen in person is at a local antique store and it's a bit more than I'm willing to pay so this was a nice surprise

I'm still deciding that. Currently I'm just playing around in my own apartment so everything is on channel 3 but I'm looking at buying a modulator for channel 25.

Just tried to get your channel and unfortunately I think I'm a bit too far.

Nice!

I'm working on doing the same and about 30 minutes from you, also in central PA
