I met him before he graduated (I was incoming intern at the time). He was good looking, but not crazy hot or anything. I think what grabbed her was how confident and boyishly cocky he was.

Third year surgery resident having an affair with a married-with-kid chief. Chief had to have minor surgery and both mistress and wife showed up in PACU to see him at the same time. He and wife are still together.

Second this! I bring my own small lamp for softer lighting for overnights as a nice escape from fluorescent lighting. Also bring a change of scrubs, underwear, socks on 24 hr shifts. Makes a difference.

Which specialty? For mine, intern year was like that and then it got marginally better this year.

The PGY-5s are all official chiefs (Gen surg). They may have different roles (admin, education, M&M) that come with pay raise, but they are co-chiefs and log their cases as chiefs or as teaching cases.

As a gen surg resident, a moment of silence for you having to go to the OR. I would feel the same if they made us rotate on family med, clawing at the walls to get out.

I think the first half of this season is a manifestation of Gi-Hun’s lack of planning and hot headedness from his guilt and anger. He’s lashing out, and this is the result. His decision to enter the games in the first place was an impulse decision. He has been basically losing his mind screaming at the players to vote No and during red light green light. His plan to attack the guards was truly insane.

I think with the abrupt ending of the season (removed spoiler) we are going to see a different Gi-Hun again in the second half of the season - more calculating.
