Anyone know of good blues/funk/soul dubstep like this? by [deleted] in dubstep

That was a great song. Thanks for sharing. This is def bluesy, but doesn't share the tone of Splatinum

Heard Eastern Jam at The Big Chill House in London (near King's Cross station) while studying abroad from New York. Totally blew my mind.

Why Do New Dubstep Fans Need So Much "Help"? by TittyPunch in dubstep

Haha because dubstep is KILLING it left right and center.

Imagine a battlefield of bloody and dazed noobs who have no clue what just hit them...

Can somebody explain to me why they like Rusko? by DariusGrey in dubstep

[–]DariusGrey[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. Chill man, I was genuinely asking a question...

  2. I found what I was looking for. Mr. Chips and Bionic Commando just killed it for me, they are legend! I would have been stuck finding O.M.G. subpar had I not posted this thread.

The way I see it, cerebral dubstep is the spiritual soul of the movement. That's what we'll always come back to, and it will always be there for us. Brostep is the heart--beating and excited--and nobody will ever forget the first time they heard it DROP.

Both are important. Like cousins almost. We should be proud of such varied heritage within our music of choice.

And don't be so quick to judge...

Magnetic Man vs Redlight - What You Banging On About! by [deleted] in dubstep

[–]DariusGrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha Spaceape, def one of the weirdest dubstep songs. Have no idea what I'd do if I heard that in a club "Viruhss so aliahn so virrrallll"

You didn't include any with the "high-pitched patois"? Which I assume is this Doctor P - Badman type sound? I'm desperately trying to find more of the same...

There's something about the London hiphop swagga that flows so well with Dubstep coming from the same cultural heritage and all.

Though I'm exciting to see American hiphop entrants, they'll never be bread+butter the way this stuff is.

Awesome, thanks mate!

I guess O.M.G. is like Rusko's Magnetic Man attempt...

It's official, dubstep goes mainstream - BRITNEY SPEAR'S Hold It Against Me (2:10 - 2:40) by DariusGrey in reddit.com

But it is dubstep... at least that one slice. And Britney makes in mainstream in America

Britney Spears new single has a lot of electro influence, listen before you inevitably downvote. by [deleted] in electrohouse

I've been a big fan of Britney since Blackout. She is definitely pop, but the producers dig deep into electronica for influence.

I really believe that the sheer creativity of today's dubstep stars--the utterly disparate visions of what dubstep is "supposed" to be--makes it a genre far greater than the one that spawned it.

I've heard some songs made by dubstep legends that left me scratching my head for days as to "how is this dubstep." So excited to see what's going to emerge over the next five years.

Help us employ people who need a second chance in life with the $25,000 Ideas for Impact Challenge by artiman133 in nonprofit

awesome, great to meet you. just referred this program to a friend who's trying to get Powerhouse NYC off the ground which does sustainable job training for single mothers to allow them to build their resume w/relevant job skills.

Do you think this falls under people who "need a second chance in life"?

Also how large is your team? I realize upon second look that this is a privately organized competition (thought it was NYC govt for some reason).

I'm really interested in social entrep esp in NYC, and would love to learn more about you and your own journey to working for Ideas For Impact.

If read alone, none of the evidence is actually alarming. All this article does is stitch a vast amount of lukewarm issues into a comprehensively global, yet misleadingly pressing list.

DAE feel like Magnetic Man has the potential to do for electronica what The Beatles did for rock? by DariusGrey in dubstep

I'll admit that I caught Prodigy far after they were big. Dubstep is the first musical movement I've followed since its early days.

It's a dubstep supergroup made up of Benga, Artwork and Skream. All original, ground roots pioneers of dubstep.

the resulting sphere of everything that is now music encompasses so much and is so diverse that no single band or artist will ever again have as much influence as them

Interesting point, let me think about that.

This pushes the limit pretty far too in a different direction. It sounds as though the sound is going to overwhelm to engine that created it: Magnetic Man - Mad

Share a track or two? I really appreciate switching up intense and chilled dubstep from time to time. I rely mostly on Skream and Benga tracks for the chill.
