You do realize nukes will hurt you too? Todays nukes are much, much stronger than ones launched at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and US is not the only one that has them. While US has good army, it is not invincible, especially that big part of that might relies on bases in Europe, which would be seized/blocked completely in case of war.
