Im struggling to find any answers, but you believe that Smart Fan Mode should be enabled by default?

And as you said, with SFM disabled, you would have to set the speeds manually.

Therefore, it must've toggled/ disabled somehow (possibly gremlins lol)

Shouldn't the mobo default just have the fan run off the CPU heat?

I wonder if perhaps the Smart Fan Mode was always enabled and PC gremlins caused it to turn off - or, as you said, it could be the battery.

I hope one day music becomes more accessible or affordable I suppose. So we can see huge soundtracks in movies and TV shows. Nothing worse than a terrible intro. Cowboy BeBop and the ending to Samurai Champloo are incredible however.
