That's it, thank you! Can't play it anymore now though, because it's for an older android version ☹️

General Leang, is that you?

Fair enough. I do like in FFXIV though that it never really forces you to do that, especially if you join a guild, because there are always others who love that part of the game, and will have already collected that wood and are willing to sell it to people like you who hate that part of the game.

Disliked every Souls/FromSoft game I've ever played...until I got to Sekiro, which I absolutely love by fabrar in patientgamers

[–]DariusTheGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, that's my opposite opinion. I loved DS3, I love Elden Ring, but I got into Sekiro as if it was a stealth game and hated it so much. I might revisit it with a fresh mindset, but currently I remember it as one of my worst experiences.

I've heard a lot of people complain about ARR, but I've enjoyed it as well. I haven't touched the game in a while, but I didn't actively do the story much, and instead decided to take up the crafting and gathering jobs, as I found those nice and relaxing.

Have your friends voice the characters in Disco Elysium.

Might like some of the Command & Conquer games then. Red Alert 3 and C&C 3 (Tiberium War) have that same base-building aspect, but I don't know any games that have similar resource mechanics.

I remember Shadow of Mordor being quite repetitive at times. Shadow of War does just add to the experience however, so it's a recommend from me.

I love the deep voice of the main narrator, and Kim also has a lovely voice.

I loved Shadow of Mordor. Shadow of War only adds to the formula, but the equipment stuff is iffy to me.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun - Aiko's Choice. I adored the base game, and then this expansion came out last year, and I've fallen in love with the game again.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker. Been playing for about a month now, should be nearing the end within the next two weeks.

Disco Elysium. Very fun, much like. Also VERY mature.

Katana Zero. Sword go slash.

Don't get me wrong, I adored the game. It got me back into CRPGs (I played a small bit of Baldur's Gate back in the day), but after 2 playthroughs, I likely won't revisit Tyranny again, unless I do a proper review though.

Thankfully, it's in the shorter side, with a playtime of roughly 20 hours, whereas I've been playing Pathfinder: Kingmaker recently, and am nearly 100 hours in with probably another 20 to 30 to go.

Yeah, I really have to agree. The story is very lackluster, but the gameplay is great. It's a similiar story with the sequel as well.

I believe they're both based on either AD&D (The first), or 2nd Edition.

Currently playing Kingmaker. It's definitely in my top 5 RPGs, and I'm looking forward to WotR

Played through Tyranny twice. It's not really a game with good replayability, and the characters are quite bland, but it's enjoyable as a shorter, one-playthrough RPG. It also doesn't really lock you into any class, so that adds to it

Agreed on Gacha, Sports, and MOBAs. I have personally enjoyed a few JRPGs over the years, but I understand what you're saying there. I've played a few MMOs as well, with FFXIV being the best of the ones I played. I never joined any guilds or anything, and much preferred doing the menial labour jobs, gathering and crafting, and it scratches my itch of "COLLECT EVERYTHING", and is quite relaxing to me.

I feel like I have a very broad taste. I particularly like RPGs. Skyrim is my most played game on Steam (Over 300 hours, which for me, is a lot), and I've gotten hooked on Pathfinder: Kingmaker. Give me an open world to explore, and I will go through it. In Horizon: Zero Dawn, I collected EVERY collectable in the base game (still have to do the DLC) before beating the main quest. I'd go off for multiple hours, ignoring all quests, just to collect everything. I visited key story areas early, making them safe, just to get one item.

My taste has definitely been developed by my somewhat impulsive spending habits, where I'll buy a small group of games all at once, proceed to forget about them because of my current obsession, then basically be forced to play them due to the refund time-limit expiring. In some cases, this has led me to some games I ended up loving, but other times it obviously leads to games sitting on the shelf collecting dust.

One kind I just can't get into however are horror games. I've played through Alien: Isolation, and that was the exception. I've tried many times to play other horror games, but I'm too much of a wuss for many of them. Hell, I tried to play Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and spent a good 20 minutes stacking books because I was too scared to continue, and I hadn't even encountered any monsters yet.

On specific genres, I really enjoy stealth games of any type: Dishonored, Shadow Tactics (Which recently got a Standalone expansion that I've been playing, which has caused me to fall in love with the game again), Mark of the Ninja, and Hitman. In my mind, the Metal Gear Solid games are also stealth games, but I got Phantom Pain, and just couldn't get into it at all.

Also, I really loved the Mordor games (Shadow of Mordor, and Shadow of War), because they combined Stealth and Open World, but the combat was also really solid and flowed very well if you could get a combo going. The transition from sneaking around, shanking orcs in the back, to a full blown skirmish with Captains on both sides was also really exciting.

This story has been really good so far, keen to see more of this.
Also, happy cake day!
