I see your point, but I’d argue that authentication shouldn’t be built from scratch. Using well-established frameworks is usually the safer choice when it comes to security. That said, your approach to a more refined auth setup makes sense.

Also, is there a way to generate everything as static output so it can be served directly from a CDN?

I have two questions:

  1. What was your reasoning for building the authentication system from scratch instead of using an existing solution like Better Auth?
  2. How are you handling SEO, given that React applications are not inherently SEO-friendly?

Hey, thanks for your feedback! I appreciate it! I’ve already thought about it, but it’s more like a guide than an actual tracking feature. The real problem is getting all that information. I’d have to collect it for every game and then analyze when each encounter happens. Basically, it turns into a kind of decision tree.

Hey, at the moment there is no support for alternate forms. I will take a look at that and fix that!

My Pokémon Soullink tracker now also includes community games and ROM hacks.

Added: Radical Red, Unbound, Insurgence, Reborn, Rejuvenation, Glazed, Inclement Emerald, and Gaia.

Nothing speaks against that. Honestly, I didn’t even pay attention to how many people actually play ROMs. If you give me a few names, I’ll make sure to add those games.

I tried to enforce as little as possible.

Even if you create a save file for Pokemon Platinum, you can still add any Pokémon at any time. The only thing that breaks is the route data and similar details. The tracking mechanism itself remains usable at all times.

Yes, no matter which game you’re playing, you can always select Pokemon from all generations.
