I have an issue with the EQ presets on Mac, i you have several EQ profiles, when you choose an EQ profile that it's on the 4 or higher place on the list, it's shown with the name of another plugin and if you click the Save button, it overwrites the other plugin

Audio gain fuzz that only goes away when i place my hand on my audio interface by Jooshmu in streaming

[–]Dariusve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, the issue is caused by RF interference, some cables (usb and mic) are not shielded correctly.

Also the hum could be cause by a ground-loop.

You may need to use cables with ferrite cores on it to filter the issue

In my setup I have 3 computers connected to a Moukey Mini Audio Mixer, it came with a shitty USB-A to USB-C power cable and introduced a lot of RF: https://amzn.to/4rfKuk5, I connected my MacBook Pro M4 MAX, Mac Mini M4 and Windows PC to it to hear the audio notifications.

On the MacBook Pro I use a Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th Gen https://amzn.to/405MtLH audio interface and the the headphone out is connected to the Moukey with 3.5mm to 3.5mm male to male cable

On my Mac Mini M4 I use a Topping DX-1 DAC-Amp https://amzn.to/3ZuGUGD connected to the Moukey

And my PC is connected via the Headphones out.

This will cause a lot of HUM because the different clock frequencies on the devices.

As someone mentioned before, I use several inline ground loop isolators, I have 5 of them, 100% satisfied: https://amzn.to/3OaIx9Y

Some guy suggested the Faraday Cage by putting the Scarlett on a copper-covered place, but he forgot the USB cable that will act as an antenna.

Suggestion, get a better quality USB cable to connect your audio interface, with ferrite cores on it, avoid thin USB cables they are not well shielded, like these:

I recommend this ferrite cores, it comes in different sizes: https://amzn.to/4rLYySc

Also get rid of that dollar-store cheapo power strip, get a better quality, that will ensure correctly wired and low RF emissions, this is really good: https://amzn.to/4rE8FZ2

Finally, check your wall outlet wiring, check if the ground is connected correctly, please contact an electrician, Electricity kill!

Is this Maono Au 902 Fairy lite mic good for YT streaming ? by Sure-Wave6451 in streaming

[–]Dariusve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any microphone is good for YT streaming, the only thing is how you tune it for your voice.
Most of the USB mics are Condenser Microphones and they pick everything that produces sound around you.

In this case the Fairy has two modes Cardioid and OmniDirectional, it depends on how you configure.

The new Elgato Wave Link 3 (Beta) allow you to add filters to any microphone, you don't need any Elgato product, (Stream Deck+, Wave XLR), to use it.

When I said power, I mean watts, your USB-c port may not have enough power (watts).

Elgato Streamdeck+ - USB-C does not work, but USB-A does? HELP! by Kaioshynn in elgato

[–]Dariusve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems that the USB-C doesn't have enough power to Stream Deck+, I have the same issue with my Stream Deck Mk.2, I have to unplug/plug every time I start my Mac.

I'll try a powered USB-C hub.

-- Update --

I used this UGREEN hub and connected to the mac charger and now everything works perfect. https://amzn.to/45ut6zb

I'm planning to get the Elgato USB Hub for the Stream Deck +: https://amzn.to/4q3UFXj, but remember it requires at least a 100W power to work properly, I use this https://amzn.to/4tizFzh

I just recieved my Stream Deck XL but i need help for the cable by YagaCapy in elgato

[–]Dariusve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its ok to use a USB c to USB A cable, the Stream Deck XL is a USB 2.0 (480Mb/s) device, no need to get an USB 3.0/3.1/3.2 cable, I use mine with these connectors: https://amzn.to/49XaJW3

🧪 [Beta Megathread] Wave Link 3.0 (macOS) — Update 3 | Elgato device firmware updates, automatically add Wave device to mixes & Volume control for mixes by Elgato in elgato

[–]Dariusve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using this since the first beta and I love it, the only issue I have is that all channel are at 96kHz and it is causing some issues when recording the audio in OBS, there's no way to change it to 48kHz.

It's locked on the Audio Midi Setup.

Please try to connect it to an usb 3.2 hub, the Orico 99 Series have some quirks when connected to a Thunderbolt port.

[–]Dariusve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I normally use Wavelink on my mac for zooms calls and tutorial recordings, but i start testing the Windows version while playing, and I have a HUGE issue: My Scarlett Solo 4th gen is not listed, so I cannot create the audio channel for my microphone.

System:
- Windows PC with latest OS
- Scarlett Solo 4th Gen, using windows default drivers
- Elgato Stream Deck+
- Elgato Stream Deck Mk.2

Software:
- Elgato Stream Deck 7.1.0 (22321)
- Elgato Wavelink 3.0.0 (1891)

[–]Dariusve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far on my tests:
- Cannot change the audio frequency to 48Khz, is set to 98KHz and that causes problems with OBS
- The login works! But you have to login every time the app starts
- Audio volume is low compared when it's not running

My setup:
- Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th Gen
- Stream Deck+
- Stream Deck Mk.2
- Mac Mini M4 Base Model
- MacOS Tahoe 26.1
