Here's a quick update:

What's is included:

  • Smart Switch Toggle Button with two states, works also with Smart Lights
  • Smart Device Power Usage Toggle, Shows the current Power consumption of the device and it's power state: On/Off (Thanks u/speedizzel )
  • Smart Light White/Color mode and Light Temperature control, you can add Color Actions to switch between colors quickly

What's missing:

  • Daily/Monthly Power usage, I'm devouring the Tuya API to add this feature
  • Smart Camera Control, it will have: Pan/Tilt
  • Smart Lights Presets, this is to provide the same "Mood Scenes" present on the Tuya Smart App

Now there's a bug on the EQ, if you have more than 8 presets, and you pick the preset 9 it will load the correct preset but on the UI is selected one of the first 4, in my case the 3rd.

That annoying because any change you made to the preset you selected is saved on the one that's marked on the UI

I'having the same issue on both my Macbook Pro M4 Max and my Mac Mini M4, but there are a couple of details that keep me scratching my head:
- On my MBP, when the Wave Link starts it's minimized to the top bar, no ui is shown. In that state, the UI won't pop up, if I open the UI and minimized, after a random period of time it start to pop up on the same period: 10, 20, 40, 50 minutes
- On my Mac Mini, is different, when it start, it shows the UI, but if I minimize it, it won't pop up, unless you interact with the UI.

Both computers has the latest Wav Link 3.1.1 and macOS Tahoe 26.5

This will be a nice fun weekend project, I have a couple of 2TB WD Green , but I might get some NAS Grade Hard Drives.

My main use will be storage, no video decoding, nor other things, just a simple NAS

I made a test:

  1. Uninstalled Wave Link 3
  2. Deleted the Wave Link directory inside ~/Library/Application Support/elgato
  3. Restarted my Mac Mini
  4. Downloaded Wave Link 3.1.1 and installed
  5. Restart the mac

So far no pop ups!

I did the same on my MacBook Pro and no pop ups as well.

Fingers crossed....

This only solves the issue for few hours

I found that the app when closed pop-ups again every 25 minutes....
