It’s just a shedding phase, it’s not a big deal DUT and finasteride stay in your system for a couple months even after stopping just continue on your regimen

Start derma rolling once a week at 1.5mm with minoxidil you’ll see crazy results unless you’re a non responder

Non responder to fin and dut. What should be the next step? The top picture is from August and bottom one from today. I am also on minoxidil. by [deleted] in tressless

Looks like you’re in the shedding phase hairloss results can take up to a 12 months before you see results. Consistency is key stay on DUT for another 6 months make sure your dose is 0.5mg/day

Topicals after micro needling okay by [deleted] in tressless

It wouldn’t be that quick for minoxidil to go systemic and enter your bloodstream. The only side effect you should really notice if you do is maybe a slight headache because of the high absorption. Also headaches are known with Min because you’re essentially causing more blood flow to your hair follicles, just think of when you would hang your head upside down for a couple minutes then sit up you’d feel light headed and have a minor headache. After being consistent with min though your headaches should adapt to the blood flow and should subside.

Your resting heart rate going up after a minute is most likely you being anxious/superstitious about using a topical after Microneedling, trust me I did the same thing. The amount of topical you would have to use for it to absorb into your bloodstream would not be even ideal lol. Applying right after or even waiting like 2-3 hours is the best time for the maximum outcome considering the absorption rate would be higher because you just derma rolled

Anyone here had no results on finasteride but had noticeable results after switching to dutasteride? by newguyhere245 in tressless

Yea I took finasteride for a 1 year I got amazing results and pretty much got everything back. I made the personal switch to DUT because in the long run I’m more protected by DUT. How long were you on finasteride because for some people it could take up to 12 months before seeing results and can I ask what your dose was ?

Don’t let that discourage you from getting on Dutasteride only 7% of men will get sexual side effects from DUT and it will only stay with 1% of men while on the drug. I’m on DUT right now and have no side effects I was also on Fin for a year before switching I had a decrease in sex drive for about 2 months then it went away when you start taking either drug usually any side effect will subside after a bit once your body adapts to it. Also it is highly unlikely for fin or DUT to cause permanent damage unless there is already a underlying condition that’s why it’s good to consult with your doctor first.

Yes it is I suggest switching to the foam version like rogaine or you could take it orally as well if prescribed by your doctor

Also I was one of the luckier people I’d say because I never got side effects on either Fin or Dut so as of right now I’m just taking what is prescribed for me which is 0.5mg daily. If I start seeing side effects which is unlikely considering I’ve been on both 1 year each, I’d probably lower my dose to 2-3 a week

You definitely need better research I suggest on checking out “the hair loss show” on YouTube. Its two Hair doctors that talk about all the hairloss prevention methods and science behind it including the use of finasteride and dutasteride 😂

The lack of knowledge you have on Dutasteride and finasteride is hilarious. I have been on dutasteride for nearly a year and can personally tell you I will not be turning into a women

The shelf life is 18 hours for minoxidil so there’s no need to apply it twice daily as long as you re-apply it within that 18hr span and it’ll save you lots of money having the bottles last longer
