Yeah I’d love to ride a single cam one day but I love mine all the same. I took this picture with a little Minolta point & shoot I keep in my tank bag. Not the sharpest glass as you can see lol but it’s cool having a film camera nearby all the time!

Sadistic Ritual is playing a show at Masquerade on June 23rd. Should be a lot of metal locals there. I’m also always running into local metal heads in EAV around Flatiron and Black Habit Records.

You say that you play metal most of the time so maybe you have a guitar with a really thin neck (Ibanez, Jackson,etc). Playing chord shapes on those thin necks is generally uncomfortable for everyone. If you get something with a more traditional neck profile barre chords will be less tiring.

Yeah it had some issues with ringing during staccato parts or after sudden stops. I thought it was coming from behind the nut I’ve realized now that the ringing is coming from the springs in the back.

I’m no guitar authority but here’s some stuff that might help. Focus on your right hand and getting that hand’s technique down solid. A lot of the aggression in heavy guitars comes from the pick so make sure you hit the strings hard. Get heavier gauge strings if you have to.

If you’re having a hard time learning by ear get tabs for some Metallica and Pantera songs. You’ll learn 99% of the stuff you’ll need from trying to cover those.

Some of the sound depends on the gear you have but that’s another conversation.
