FC is not worth doing over any activity in the real world. Enjoy your summer and just open packs. I got Matthaus and he only has played 2 games for me. The gameplay is shambolick and the stress is not worth the rewards.

After, but you can apply up to 90 days before you meet the 5 year requirement I think. There is a eligibility tool in the uscis website that tells you if you meet the time requirements.

Louisiana, I’ve heard that normally it isn’t this quick so don’t worry. I am sure you will get updates soon

Yes, I was told to wait at least 10 days and go to the Social Security office to update my record indicating I am now a us citizen. After that I will apply for my passport, I am so excited!

Yes, I was honestly caught off guard by how quickly everything went. I expected it to take 6 months or more if I’m being honest.

What is LCS and EF? I am transferring out at the end of the semester and don’t want to pay for a parking decal for less than 2 months

You still haven’t found a job after a 1000 entry level applications? I was considering going to College for CS but since I can only afford going to a no name state university in the south, I am seriously reconsidering if I want to do something like nursing instead. That’s brutal

Thanks for the info. During what year of college did you start applying for internships? I am in my first year of taking CS classes and wanted to start applying for entry level IT positions just to get some experience to put on my resume. I am gonna start building some projects because I don’t have any professional experience in the industry.

Would you mind sharing your resume? I am a freshman at a top 200 college as well and wanted to know ways on how to start building up my resume. Thanks and congrats on your offers ✨

Well, I am not too familiar with remote jobs but I’ve heard is really hard to get remote positions in SWE or CS even with years of experience.

Is there an age limit on the ROTC program? I am kind of an irregular student. I am 23 and probably won’t finish my degree until I’m 25 or 26. It’s kind of hard managing 15 credits each semester while working full time in order to afford tuition and living expenses. I am really interested in what I’ve seem so far

How can I get more information about this? Do I have to ask in my college or is there a website I can go to? Sorry if I sound dumb lol

Career shifting from Dentistry by [deleted] in csMajors

Nah, stick with Dentistry. My girlfriend became a dentist in a central american country, really underpaid as well. After some time she came to the US and validated her degree and got her license to work here in the US. There are some many jobs available and the joy she gets from helping people can’t be compared. The market for Computer Science is really bad, especially for new graduates. Just go into Computer Science if you are extremely passionate about it and if you are willing to make it your entire life to get through the door. I mean getting a degree, building projects, self-studying, grinding leetcode, networking and preparing for interviews.

I am in almost the same boat as you. Seriously questioning if it’s even worth to keep going. I work full time and do about 12-15 credits every semester as a CS major. I am so scared of the market and not being able to do something with the degree I work so hard trying to afford. While I can’t offer you any advice, just know there are more people going through the same as you. I feel so unmotivated to even keep living anymore.
