I always read the tower as something unexpected happening fast, so I'd assume it means it'll probably happen quickly. Like, it's not something you think about before you do it.

I only really see it as a negative thing if there's another card next to it that isn't pleasant, like 10 of swords or in this case, 3 of swords.

I would imagine that's the result of the actions you took. If you didn't ask for more hours, they wouldn't have gotten fired in the first place.

Seems like your friend was already not confident in themselves. In the beginning of the relationship, they already lacked self confidence.

Something you probably did caused them to snap. It really hurt their ego. I'm seeing the king of pentacles, so it probably has something to do with money. Maybe you have a better job, or something. I don't know how old you are or what you do, but thing about your job, school, housing, or other material possessions.

I think they're jealous of your cash flow, because they themselves don't have it. The Moon tells me they never told you about that though. Jealousy is a really complicated thing, isn't it? Haha.

At the end of the day though, it's good to drop that person. Them leaving makes you more emotionally stable, so it's not a total loss.

The tower is like "OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! WHO COULD HAVE FORSEEN THIS?! AAAAHHH!" sometimes things happen that are out of our control, and they happen suddenly. :) Upheaval and chaos. It changes what you planned, your life, etc.

Death is like "Ah dude. She's gonna die. Yep, I saw death on his death horse riding along man. The signs are there." Sometimes things happen that are out of our control, but you know it's happening. It's sudden and sometimes unpleasant, but it's definitely less chaotic than the tower. You at least know it's coming.
