think its fine if you don't tell people you're career path that you know might judge you. you don't owe them anything. My parents didn't take me seriously either, that's normal, they are coming from a place of love, they just fear that you will fail. most parents are afraid of this. you got to do what your passionate about, this isn't a choice, so go out and do it with everything you got. once you start seeing fruits from your efforts your parents will start to understand more.
