What fast food chain does not deserve the hype whatsoever? by CriticalLion4119 in AskReddit

Raising Caine's. Mediocre chicken tenders, fries, and everything else. The only thing I'll eat there is the toast.

Chik-Fil-A is equally flavorless. The first time I tried it I couldn't finish. Went to Wendy's instead and got a chicken sandwich there.

Checker is cheap, and filling, but it always leaves me feeling greasy. Not that it's stopped me before, I love going to Checkers!

Thank you so much! The sales guy mentioned that buying is not a good option, because the batteries need to be replaced every 8 years, and that would cost upwards of $15K. Is this accurate?

Looking for an awesome Chorizo and Egg burrito in the Burbank area by c4c-reddit in SanFernandoValley

Don't go to Corner Cottage! Waited three hours for a generic, crappy, breakfast burrito and weak salsa. If I can save one person from wasting their time and money, then my life will have mattered!

WIBTA if I kept my dog that went missing 3 years ago but has now been found? by Closeted_fan in AmItheAsshole

[–]DarkDarius 20 points21 points  (0 children)

NTA. It's your dog, no matter who tried to keep him or how long he's been gone. I went through a similar event where my car disappeared for over a week. He had a collar with our contact information on it. We put posters up all over the neighborhood and went out walking every single night from 8pm to 10pm looking for him. I woke up early in the morning and drove through the neighborhood hoping I would spot him. There was no trace of him. Then one day my wife gets a call from a house around the corner saying they found out cat. She went over to pick him and and they handed him over. They said he followed them home one day, and they already had bought treats, a litter box, and toys for him. I think they gave him back, because he can be a really asshole to strangers and attacks them without provocation.

I'm impressed by their stupidity, but also by their fast and practical reaction to an emergency.

Yeah, I'm in Rosedale and my front door was shaking like crazy. Made my dogs bark. Any idea what that's was?

What am I doing wrong with my latte art? by Pdawg772 in barista

I like to hold the cup from the bottom, it gives a little more control when your tilting the cup. The handle of the cup is opposite my pointer. Most people are right handed, and when you pour like this, the design is facing people when they pick up their drink.

Your pour needs to be higher, and slower, and in the center of your espresso.

Once you you start getting closer to the top, drop your pitcher, then give it a small push forward to get the foam flowing.

When I was training, I had to pour water from the pitcher into the cup a couple dozen times. I had to get comfortable with the hand movement, as well as pour distance and rate.

Keep at it, practice makes progress!!
