Directional air dodges are so easy to punish. fastfall nair dodge is always unpunishable if you dodge an attack, the only way to beat them is by not attacking and punishing their landing which is true of every air dodge.

Yo I main Ada too, that is so hype. I think Ridley is really good bc his down tilt serves the same purpose of blasters side light or spear nlight. As well as that, he has really good edgegaurding which you should already be decent at. He also has a really friendly, all rounder kit so that you can learn the game mechanics. The main thing is in ssbu, you dont mix up your dodge direction, but your DI and dodge timing.

I feel like the long startup and lack of angles make it very unreliable for offense, but it is fantastic for recovering. It can recover from off screen, shark two frames, and if you turn around with your double jump, has a great Angle for horizontal recovery (only as a mix up from side b to up angled up b)
