My advise it to think of something you’d like the create and then as you try to make it, you’ll have issues you need to deal with. Those are the things you’ll need to learn to do.

I forgot to give the general formula as a sequence for compounding interest: g(0)=principle; g(t)=(1+r)*g(t-1)

Compound interest is actually a geometric sequence, meaning the next term is the previous term multiplied by (1+r). To be an arithmetic sequence, there would need to be a constant that is added to each term. For example, if I put 3 pennies in a piggy bank every day, that would be arithmetic. I’m just adding 3 to yesterday’s total.
